Distant infantry glow yellow while zoooming in with 1st person on the pacific planes?!

After I had a round in Iwo jima breakthrough where the enemy team had 2-3 flyhards of which the top 2 did at least 80 kills each and were somehow seeing us from insane distances, I decided to fly a bit myself on the next map at Wake.

I soon noticed that apparently the guys  from last round were not wallhacking or something cause even for me the enemy soldiers looked bright yellow from far away and which would fade if I got close.

I have not changed my settings for months and I do not remember that happening. Did someone sneaked in some changes in the last couple of months?

This is a disaster at the hands of ace rocket plane pilots. Like the guys I had in the first round , they will just farm the other team by killing them outside the effective range of any AA.

This also happens on the ground as well at very long distances. I'm surprised not many people have noticed this lol. This has been happening since the character model lightening up date like over a year ago

i think its due to sightlines never beign that long on the ground and there is a lot more going on, oh well we already knew what DICEs favorite class/vehicle was, this is just an added bonus for the god-machines of war

I believe it was part of the glowing enemy update.

 

That being said, Pacific planes have spotting scope specialisations ontop of guns and rockets so they can auto spot everyone from afar and launch their payloads from safety.

I do not know Tyrone, this seems different.

I had been having the hardest of times seeing enemy infantry from a plane in the past and suddenly since yesterday they glow like if I am using thermal sight + normal sight at the same time

I have this for quite some time (months) , but as infantry. I always thought that it was Dice's response to the "bad visibility" complaints?

Yup it's been there since at least the last content update. The outlines do seem to vanish when you get close enough but it does give you a really good idea of where to target.

If in my SAA I lose sight of my tiny little one-pixel flying target in the sky's glare , then I stare , and I wait .
It's still only a small percentage of the One Percent who can safely Rocket me out of that seat from that far , so . . .

I take their 100-0 and add my 1-5 or 2-10 which leaves them with 25-3 or 30-5 .

This math of mine ain't even really about them fliers anyway .
It's about allowing at some point or another the lives of 65-70 Mates to continue productively onward , if even only for seconds more .
It's about disappointing and morally crushing an Enemy Team that's become reliant and needy of those 65-70 Kills for their success .

Here it's reported that some can see my tiny little pixel from very afar .
So from nearly a kilometer away , we lock eyes ?
meh . . that's War .

Still . . . the Math says that this "small percentage" of ; AND the One Percenters themselves ; can only continue to rise as their Air Skills rise .
This predicted meta-rise does not bode well for the futures of the vaster majority , and may require a (trails off) . . .
Yeah I'm (Man) being vague (An) because I don't (AA) want to start anything (Today!) today .

negative ive always seen this since that update. Its just more prevalent on low settings

If possible please share with us some good footage of nailing some one percenter with the SAA. It would be really cathartic to watch.

Even if I like to fly myself, I really find frustrating what  one percenter pilots (especially when they are 2+ friends)  can do to the other team when they fly.

ahhh good old friendly fire. Complains about "OP" anti-air weapons, but doesn't care about OP things that give planes a huge advantage over infantry.  
TBH, i shouldn't be surprised.

Yeah, me too.

Though, it feels like it happens more on Pacific maps like Iwo Jima.

It's pretty jarring.

It is pretty sad that this game gives advantage on the lowest settings possible. Ever since reducing the mesh quality from ultra to low, it just got so much better.

A game should not have so much fluff that hinders the gameplay

Put all the graphics on low, including the mesh quality. Then use one of the pacific planes and on the first person view do the ADS/zoom in click. This is when they show up for me.

My hypothesis is that the low mesh quality kinda breaks some things by hiding obstacles in the longer distances while still showing the soldiers albeit in a  simplified shape

I have mesh on ultra, so that probably isn't it, at least on the ground perspective.

I was joking, I said it in the original post. I didn't mean to offend you in any way, shape, or form. I found your reddit post very interesting, thanks for sharing it.

If someone would watch closely, he would/should see, that the yellow / green models vanish completly at a certain render distance which makes it even harder to spot. Thats puts your "advantage" to a huge disadvantage in most cases. 
Which is why most pilots i know dont have their settings on all low. And yes, this happens on a certain distance even on ultra on the ground, sometimes even buildings dont get rendered in front of an far away enemy.
