How to Play (and Win) Treasure Hunt
Hold the Treasure Chest to earn points for your team. Then collect as many coins as you can!
Treasure Hunt Game Mechanics & Objectives
Treasure Hunt has two alternating rounds -- the Treasure Round and the Coin Round. In the Treasure Round, hold the Treasure Chest to earn points for your team. In the Coin Round, collect as many coins as you can!
Treasure Hunt Mode Strategy
- Protect your teammates holding the Treasure Chest! If your teammate is about to be Megablasted and drop the chest, try to be near them to pick it up before your opponents.
- Holding the Treasure Chest when it runs out of coins will give your team 10 bonus points, so it’s always worth holding it. Don’t stop fighting for it!
- Coins spawn in the same location every Coin Round, so learning the best routes is key to collecting a large number of coins. Remember that you can play Treasure Hunt (and all other modes) in Private Match by yourself to learn optimal coin paths.
- KO’s still matter in the Coin Round as KO’d players cannot collect coins, which gives your team less competition to collect big chunks of coins. In general, attacking the enemy is a good idea as it will impulse them, throwing them off their routes and denying them coins.
Best Heroes for Treasure Hunt
Different Competitors excel at each round. High survivability Heroes, such as Mysteen with her Mirror Shield, Kayi with her Snow Globe, or Blastbeard with his higher Megablast threshold, all make excellent Treasure Chest carriers. High mobility Competitors, like Rev, Amphora, Izell, and Plink can collect coins very quickly.
