We’re Reading Your Comments!

Watch as we dive into your comments and answer some of your most burning questions

We’re always reading the comments and ideas you share with us but we wanted to take this chance to respond to some of them right here!

  • Reminder, the game is called skate. not Skate 4.
  • skate. will be available on last-gen consoles (Xbox One and PS4), as well as Xbox Series S/X, PS5 and on Steam as well as the EA app for PC players.
  • Console playtesting is coming in 2024!
  • Players will be able to hold their flip tricks and roll on the axis.
  • We hear you - you want baggy pants - and we do have team members working on pants designs - from baggy to skinny.
  • The game will include tricks that reflect skateboarding today like boned ollies, slappy grinds and wallies. You will also be able to hold flip tricks and they will continue to flip on all axes ie. double flips, double hardflips, etc.
  • There will be lots of opportunities for players to unlock great rewards without having to pay for them.
  • The game will be cross-platform and feature cross-progression.
  • We are focused on the Flick-It system as our primary control scheme.
  • Are impossibles possible?! We’re working on it!
  • As we’ve been developing the game, our biggest priority to date has been getting the feel and core gameplay systems right. We’re still working on the art, textures etc., so it’ll continue to look better as we move forward!
  • We are striving to continue to maintain a balance of over the top and realistic feel - you’ll be able to skate your way.
  • Documenting gameplay through photos and video remains vitally important to us and we’re working on great capture features for the game.
  • As we mentioned in The Board Room Episode 4, we’re going to have a lot of new tricks you can do within the game that weren’t offered in Skate 3.
  • We know you’re eager to play and we PROMISE you… the game will be released before 2050 (see, we’re reading your comments!).

Now that you're up to speed, check out the full video below to see what Deran Chung and Cuz Parry had to say about your top comments.

Thank you as always putting up with our shenanigans. We hope you all have a very happy holiday season!
