I stay in Scotland, why am I constantly being put into American servers where the lag is super bad? Why does this game some how get worse every time it updates? Answers please. Thanks.

If your using "quickmatch" going into the "sever browser" and filtering to local severs will eliminate that peoblem.

Is your xbox location set to US region?

Although I have no idea if this has any effect on matchmaking, I know it does on other games.

That doesn't always help. I play NA (US West servers) I have my filter setup for NA. When choosing from browser I only join US W. QuickMatch sometimes put me in US East which I don't like but can't do much about. But recently quickmatch has put me on EU servers. Absolutely ridiculous to run 160 - 200ms ping and occasionally spike even higher. Quickmatch doesn't always work well.

Not to be contrite but why would you set up your sever browser then go back and use quickmatch? Why not join a game right there in the browser? with the exception of Ops (I think) all other games can be accessed from the browser.

Gotta stop using quick match. Never use quick match. It sucks. It's broken. It puts you halfway across the world.

    Server Browser is your friend.

Depends on what I get. For the longest time I used quick match and it worked really well. Then it messed up with putting me on EU servers so I started using server browser again. Also if I play during a quiet period like 6am Saturday morning, quickmatch isn't so great so I use server browser. I almost always check server browser first to see if there are west coast servers up and if my ping looks ok. If not I reboot the router before I start playing. Sometimes I can't help wanting to join games from server browser but then sometimes it puts me in severs from hell with full on 8-10 players from a clan participating. Which seriously screws up team balancing or stacks the server with almost all high skilled players. Playing alone I need balance between teams but also in the number of high, medium and low skilled players to have the right amount of fun. So then I'm back to quick match hoping it would actually match my skill to a decent server.

I don't think quick match searches based on your server browser region filter. I constantly get put in European and South American servers if I use quick match.

I’ve customised my settings to include European servers but they don’t always work. My quiet period I reckon is early morning to mid afternoon. Used to be able to get a game on my lunch break no bother! But not now.

Server browser, and search by ping is the way I go. Whatever server has the best ping, I'll jump in. Its all about those 3 green bars
