I've loved this game and have spent so many hours playing it that one could argue it was a full time job on it's own. However, all the fun times means nothing if we as consumers come to you with a problem and you pretty much ignore it for 5 days before actually making any kind of mention or acknowledgment that it even exists.
Others may not care but, as a consumer of your products I refuse to carry on being one of yours when you've made it clear you do not truly care about your AU marketplace or it's end users. As others have stated, if this issue was in the U.S market you would have had it fixed within 1 day or 2 tops I bet.
Instead you post a very generic reply and refuse to offer any insights on what the problem could be (terrible PR). So, with that said I've just uninstalled your game (not that you'd care) and out of principal will not buy another one of your games.
For the record, I ejected once to a beloved car company which I had an affinity for. They sold me a 70k Euro Hot Hatch which pretty much was a lemon from day one. Over the years, I've retold the story of it being a lemon to more people than I can remember and never looked back. My issues with you is no different.
Maybe you will learn that how you treat your customers does have an impact on the bottom line whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.
EA/DICE have obviously handled this very poorly but considering you have 2000hrs+ game time despite being almost universally hated in the au community because you constantly insult everyone in-game for no reason clearly shows you have an addiction to this game. Despite your dummy-spit of a post I bet my life you will be back the split second the servers are fixed.

im going back to bf4 and rust, this server experience has tarnished the fun i was having (3 or 4 weeks with the game) and i can't be bothered waiting for idiot a to tell idiot that idiot c needs to do something so idiot b can relay that to idiot b and so on.
Hey people, at the end of the day it is academic. EA either fix the servers so we can play BF1 or they don't.
If no fix to the servers in the oceanic region happens then it is a clear signal that this market is not worth their investment in the infrastructure, as such I would be surprised if we get any servers for BF2018.
There have been plenty of posts from other countries in the past complaining about lack of regional support (Africa And South America).
Do not be surprised if we now fall into that category !
If that is the case it should be clearly spelt out now before pre-ordering BF2018 becomes available, the ACCC does not protect the consumer for digital pre-orders. So the common sense approach is DO NOT PREORDER.
It is a commercial decision by EA and so as consumers we either accept it (higher ping and lag), or move on. Oceanic players If you want you can beat your chests and wail which gets us nowhere.
I for one wouldn't consider buying the new Battlefield whatever it is if this issue is not fixed and an apology given for the shocking way they have handled this. I personally think that if they don't fix the problem people should start asking for refunds. Essentially this is the equivalent of buying a car to get you from A to B, then 6 months or even a year later the car ceasing to take you all the way to B. You would of course demand a refund as it is not fit for the purpose for which it was sold. People purchased this game to play multiplayer AND single player. Typical large company though.
Actually tempted to reinstall BF4. For anyone who's got BF4 already installed, can you please comment on roughly how many servers are active/populated (and if any happen to be rush)?

Thought you would have figured out how to NOT run servers after the server fiascos in BF2142.
Cheers
https://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/servers/ go to the filter window, press down and select advanced, then select oceania and whatever game style you are looking for.
I have gone back too, bf1 has knobs on it.
RIP BF1, RIP EA.
