Second time in two days that I have gotten this error message.

DirectX Function `GetDeviceRemovedReason` failed with
DXGL_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG_GPU: DRIVER 39811. This
error is usually caused by the latest graphics driver crashing; try
installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a
supported graphics card with at least 1024 MB of VRAM.

I am running GeForce Driver 398.11. Release Date 06/05/2018.

I am running an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070.

The only recent changes to my system are that I got a new mouse, and a new ASUS 144hz monitor.

Roll back the driver, or better yet, uninstall the driver with DDU in safe mode, and try an earlier driver.

    Here it is happening.

Please pardon the language at the end.

For some reason, right before it crashed, I got a notice that I can use win + g to take a screenshot....I find it odd that it popped up randomly, and can`t help but think that it is related.

    • Try disabling Origin in-game if you haven't already. I had a DX error yesterday, and I solved it by disabling Origin in-game.
    • Try a clean graphics driver installation.

Please report back if any of the above worked for you.

Have a look and see if something helps:

Its a very frustrating life long error that comes and goes. Different things fix it for some, sometimes it is fixed for a while and come back without warning...

That second mistake, the non DX error but the windows gaming menu popping up actually was after a clean graphics driver installation, will try the in game disabling, thanks!
