Is it me or there are too many campers in every game style you choose?

Return to BF3/4 sniping mechanic with mil-dot scopes, more drop and scope sway - they had even bigger maps, sniping was harder and more rewarding.

However, just like in BF5, there is an inverse correlation between snipers and team wins, the more snipers that your team has, the less likely that your team will win.

Extremely fast TTK is always going to encourage more camping from weaker players since when they move around they just die over and over again.

That and lack of 3D spotting since nobody can tell the rest of their team where the campers are. It's been this way since the Alpha.

Idk, i think if more recon players actually played the class as recon instead of sniper, things would be better. Spotting is so much more important in this game but it seems like support spots the most since suppression does nothing else.

Recon pretty much went from being a decent solo specialist class to a heavily needed spotter. Problem is most players don't choose recon to be team players.

I've not noticed camping as being that bad in BFV. I've seen worse in BF1. Though saying that, short TTD doesn't help matters. Players feel less inclined to make themselves visible if they're more likely to die quickly.

Lol sniping was 100% easier in BF3 and 4.

Aside from the fact that those games didn't feature the bullet drag mechanic that slows your rounds down as they travel through the air - they also had rifles that ohkd to the chest from 0-12.5m, they had access to scopes with insane magnification levels, and in BF4s case they had access to straight pull bolts, variable zoom, ballistic scopes with 20x and 40x magnification, and even a range finder coupled with a zeroing system with 100m increments from 75m to 1,000m - on rifles with a minimum body shot damage of 75 of at any range.

That's compared to rifles in BF5 that have access to only 3x and 6x scopes, a zeroing system with 3 increments that max out at a much shorter distance, no straight pull, suffer from the drag mechanic, and have a maximum body shot damage of 75. No range finders to be found, no ballistic scopes, no fast magazine reloads.

Sniping was objectively easier in past games. It's statistically the most difficult it has been to snipe in BF than it ever has been. Even in older BF games with no ohk capability outside of headshots, rifles still did a minimum of like 90 damage, had muzzle velocity so fast it could basically be hitscan, non existent bullet drop, and no scope glint.

I think you need to re - evaluate your life if campers is all your worried about :)
Camping is a valid tactic in any game and the people who moan about it are usually the less skilled players who keep running back the same way to die the same way instead of tactically dealing with the obstacle by flanking, overwhelming or any other tactic you can think of. Some people are just not cut out or enjoy running round like a headless chicken some are. At the end of the day they pay there money as do you and as you are free to choose the play style that suits you they are to choose what suits them. personally I play both ways, I have come last in score playing assault and capturing Cp's and I have come third in score by sitting out doing recon and spotting for the team without firing a shot.

Its also very easy to compare this game with the fast pace of call of duty, its not call of duty fine as it is. Its battlefield and there has always been a more tactical element to battlefields play.

Some playstyles detract from the game more than others do

Lol bad players are gonna die over and over again regardless of the TTK. There being a faster TTK just means that each time the dude dies, he dies a fraction of a second faster.

    300ms TTKs? They’ll get outgunned
    2s TTKs? They’ll get outgunned
    5s TTKs? They’ll get outgunned
    10s TTKs? They’ll get outgunned

Battlefield is a franchise that has always been very generous when it comes to countering campers.

You can tear entire buildings down with panzerfausts if need be, grab a plane and drop some bombs on the target or roll up in a tank..

If you keep dying because all you do is rush in blindly then thats on you, defenders (or campers as some people call them) are a valid tactic and instrumental to a victory.

    Defenders defend strategic points.

Campers camp in corners to shield their **** from plunderers.
Others campers camp in random places hoping to pick off easy targets I.e. to get easy kills to cushion their KD like lil b****es

Exactly, if a player finds themselves repeatedly dying and unable to do anything constructive in game, its their fault. Can't blame ttd, ttk, weapon balance, map layout, etc.

Imo, players that die so much only do so because they don't learn from their mistakes. Instead of trying to improve their gameplay, they ask for the things they die from to be nerfed.

Defending is at the capture point, camping happens when you prone in a random dark corner hoping for someone to pass by. Too many of those feckwits around , support class is the worst. All the do is camp and never give you any ammo. I'm mean in my 4d of play I've been given ammo maybe 10 times despite requests

Some people are too selfish to care.
Some people are too dumb to realise that what goes around will come around to an extent.
Some people are too stupid to realise that resupplying teammates gets you easy xp.

It’s pretty astonishing how stupid some people can be and how poor their characters are

I spend most of my time as recon in the spot scope and I get quite a few messages telling me I suck and that I'm a lazy camper because I'm like 9-3 or something and I guess they expect more. I think a lot of casual players look at your kills and not your score. I mean it doesn't stop me from doing it anyway but it's tiring.

Yeah, TTKfield V will make anyone a camper. And a damn good one too. I just hit top of the scoreboard on BF1 with an infantry rifle. That's a first for me lol.

Kudos to them for making a realistic war game. If you were in a real war, would you be lying prone hiding in a corner trying to stay alive, or out and about trying to run and gun most likely getting shot at?

I did drop the ammo crate.

It melted through the floor into the next level below. Didn't you see it?

Yeah.. they still haven't fixed that either. AAA MLG Quality game.
