Ambient sounds

Am I crazy, or am I hearing more ambient sound since the patch?

Playing Breakthrough on Rotty, pinned down under the bridge & hiding by a metal support beam, enemy gunfire zinging by, playing Medic

A teammate off to my left hiding behind worse cover had gone down a bit before I had moved up, but I had no more smokes and couldn't get to him with all the fire. He was holding out for a revive, his character calling out for a Medic like usual

His timer went out, the panic worsening in the guys voice as it grew weaker before it transitioned into a pained, wet gurgle that persisted 3-4 seconds past when the guy would have been well off towards respawn

I kinda just stood there and listened to it a little taken aback, it was pretty dark

I've also noticed a faint "ching" on headshots and successful revives

An increase in music prevalence

Callouts from nearby teammates I swear I've never heard before

Maybe dice tried to improve footsteps and upped ambient sounds as well.

Those sounds can really make a game.

Agreed. DICE has always had top notch sound design.

Just don't get downed in water; your character drowns
