Nerfed the Bomber to Death and Airplanes in General. You Crossed the Line

    Reminder: all airplanes were affected bad after the patch. We all agree some changes on fighters were NOT necessary, and that the Ju 88A WAS OP at the beginning. But looks like a lot of pilots are only focusing on the fighters forgetting or not caring the fact that eventough the Ju 88A was OP, now is the opposite.
    Not much is needed in order for the Ju88 feeling more balance. I would say, instead of 30 sec. Cooldown. Take it down to 10 sec. Restore a little more damage to the tail gun to fend off fighters.
    And for airplanes in general reduce AA range.

    Fighters with 150 ammo....yeah that's crap. Just saying. Stuka was good too. And Bleinheim too weak. Only 8 small bombs c'min.

    one of the problem i have is the AA abilities to kill fighters within seconds. what it needs is just a slight horizontal range nerf and add a reload delay in it, 10secs reload should be fine. current AA can fire 20 Flak before it overheats, and overheat delays about 3 secs, which is ridiculous imo.

    with these changes I think that it will encourage players to fire their AA efficiently.

    I'm done with this P..... game. Now every low skill noob is camping MAA. Dogfight was bad before, not it's just ridiculous.

    In my opinion the cooldown could be a little less for the bombs...it takes pretty long to reload bombs...wich is fair, but with the maps not being that wide...its praying for your life in a bomber while reloading.
    That being said...a bomber goes very fast down in my opinion....with spawned in AA tank that is.

    Exactly, that's all I am saying. Cooldown time is too long.
    Solution, simple. Instead of 30 seconds, get down to 10 seconds.
    Increase a Little bit of the damage to the tail gun, let's say 15% more.
    and finally, decrease range of Anti-Air, just a bit tad.
    Minor twitches.

    If the spitfire flew for real as it does in game I'd have grown up speaking German.

    The spawn delay and bomb qty nerf was needed on bombers but the reload delay is too excessive.

    Fighters didn't need an ammo nerf and all of the planes need to actually fly like planes!

    Dude, relax. I'll buy you an ice cream ok? Let me rephrase: the only people upset about the nerf to bombers are the people who "camped" in bombers. The rest of the players welcome the change.

    This is not true. I use the bomber regularly as part of our squad tactics. I agree that the Ju88 was a bit OPed and they also needed to do something about the spawn ****. I was expecting them to do some nerfing but they took it WAY beyond reasonable nerfing and now bombers and fighters are useless tools on the battlefield, in some matches I find nobody even flying the planes.
    Of course anyone that is infantry only player is going to be happy now because now they dont have to worry about bombers ever hitting them. And if they are ever bothered by an expert pilot they just hop in an AA truck, sit in the back of their spawn that nobody can reach, and shoot planes down from across the entire map... it's ridiculous and the Overpowering has completely shifted to the other side instead of actually balancing the gameplay. It needs to be fixed.

    And if the Messerschmidt flew for real as after the Nerf, Polands Airforce would have stopped us in 1939....
    Dice made the G-6 absolutly useless and the G-2 is no match for the 8x Machine Gun Spitfire ( even nerfed )

    True. When you attempt to "dog fight" you will just end up flying into reach of the MAA and then that's it.

    I wouldn't say the G-6 is entirely useless, but it is about as effective now as the Spitfire VB was before, except that it can't kill tanks. The most useless planes imho are the G-2 and VB now. To shoot anything down with the VB takes ages and to actually get a kill you better hope the guy you attack doesn't seat switch and/or bail. And of course you can no longer kill tanks with the VB. The G-2 might turn slightly faster than the G-6, but that really isn't enough to rival the G-6, which is simply the better plane in (almost) every aspect.

    BFV first edition was made for bombers to farm infantry. This was changed in the last patch. But it was done in the wrong way and created another imbalance. By nerfing the fighters DICE made them not interesting to use. Just like in BF1 where all pilots went for the GS/TH AP. Instead of just tweaking the Bombers and let the fighters deal with them the buffed the AA and MAA. AA against Bomber was needed but not like this and not the MAA. Then we have the damage model that more or less destroy all aspect of dogfighting. Drop it and go back to full maneuverability until disable and then implement flying physics from BF3/4/1.
    • Remove 3th view (plane and bombsight)
    • Decrease range of AA and MAA
    • Improve maneuverability so it becomes more like BF1
    • Reduce bomb delay to 15 sec.
    • Skip damage model and go back to “disable”. Let us dogfight without random damage and give us the ability to perform the maneuver that was possible in former BF

    I don't know how to fix the planes but I don't like how they currently work in-game either. Both the bombers and the fighters.

    I agree with OP that they nerfed the planes to hard. Not just the bombers. The ammo count was fine for most of the fighters in my opinion. And the bombers did need some nerf. But what we got was to much. Like the bombers reload timer should probably be half of what it is now.

    well, bombers are not that useless, did 117/5 yesterday, again (JU bomber ofc), bcs british bomber is "really" useless... I bet some1 will cry about "bombers need more nerf" again :neutral:
    Basically what they really need to nerf, was JU bomber only. No more stupid spawn system at the start of the round. Removing 32bombs bug, thats it. But they went tooo far.

    AA feels sooo broken. The range is insane, they actually shoot from their base to the suply station at the end of the map (arras). The explosion radius is also ridiculous, it like 50-100m. While dodging AA, I'm like since 2 sec. behind the rock/mountain already and this **** still hits me...
    DICE pls?

    Sorry I have to say again before the nerf bombers were ruining the game full stop.

    Everyone I played with did mind getting killed again and again and again and again with no come back.

    The descussion usually came down to shall we leave this server the bomber is getting on our ****.

    So well done dice for stopping it!

    But why did it happen in the first place.?
