All the skins in this game apart from 2 or so look scruffy and distressed. I don't think it looks good personally, i'd rather see some more clean, polished designs. I know this game isn't trying to be historically accurate but as far as i'm aware soldiers look after their weapons, so why do all the skins look like they've been dug up?

Everyone is crying about company coin not working, hell so long as I have enough for the gun specializations I could care less. I don't think I have even opened the menu unless by accident.
Well you appear to answer your own question so I'll leave this be
I don't mind predator on some guns, I quite like having a mix of Predator and standard part skins when I first start using a gun. Having the whole thing green can look a bit weird though, especially on weapons where the green is quite pronounced (lee Enfield for example looks a little odd).
.
I do quite like the system (if you can call it that) where there's kind of a list of things which set the rarities of weapons apart - for example, the handguard on most assault weapons tends to have a cloth wrapping at the second rarity, and leather straps at the third, and overall the first rarity level tends to look a bit more worn and is just a basic design whereas the other rarities are cleaner, sharper and change more about the weapon.
Mint as in Mint condition
The wonder of human race and the fact we all like different things. I'm an illustrator/tattooist for a job so visual things appeal to me. I just like having cool stuff to look at and change, just switches things up a bit.

I get that there could be a few distressed weapons but most of them look rusty and worn out. My mates ex military and he said he had to clean and oil his guns every day or night for inspections. Perhaps it was different back in the day cos it was always going off, I couldn't say. The only ones I like currently are mint and gold and I can't get the receiver for the G43. I remember seeing a barrel with all leaves and stuff on it for camo, thought that looked really cool. I hope it steps up a bit when the content starts dropping cos scabby auwld guns aren't much to look at hahah.
Yeah, the mint stocks are decent, shame you can't actually see them in-game though.
Yeah, no kidding. The golden Kar98 receiver may always elude my grasp I fear. One day I'll net 10 HS kill on an obj. in 1 life.
I love the gold gun skins. More skins like this please .
The chrome skins I bought with CC but I would've preferred to do assignments to unlock them rather than do assignments to unlock uninteresting mint skins.
@RoddersaurusRex
Yeah, I wanted to buy chrome but after all the CC posts, i'm scared of spending any of it on anything, other than specialisations.
@Gforce81
How about 'The Bob Ross'. A skin inspired by his paintings? Lol it would be cool.
Btw that's a great show, we've been devouring the episodes.
Maintaining a weapon doesn't refer to the outer layers, especially with wood furniture weapons. You get scuffs, dents, dings, chips and all sorts of stuff to the furniture of a weapon and you aren't going to polish that out. Internal mechanisms are kept in the best shape possible because they are required to fire the weapon. They've done a good job showing weapons with normal wear and tear.
Soldiers manning the lines often even inscribed and carved a bit in their weapons. As long as it didn't damage the integrity, nobody gave a poop.
Omfg I would punt a penguin for a "Happy Tree" stock, with a lovely evening lake scene
I'm glad you enjoy it, it's a great watch. I love how you'll be watching him, he's got a nice background, and then makes a huge brown streak down the middle
You're like "WTF, how are you gonna fix THAT??"
And then he turns it into a great tree for a focal point
That's exactly what we thought a few times we'd look at each other in shock for a second at a dark brown streak he knives into the canvas, then he makes a beautiful tree with it.
My wife and I are considering taking a painting class, something fun to do together.
Yeah, could be fun. I know in our town, our "Hobby Lobby" store has some painting classes. Heck, you could try to just follow with him I suppose, but he's fast lol
Yeah they've been doing the paintings for ages so they're super fast. It's crazy how little mistakes they make. We're noobs at this so definitely need a class lol
What's wrong with a fluorescent green beacon saying "here I am!" ??
