They should just give top gunners the same damage reduction you get when you bayonet charge, a slight buff to their survivability. You'd at least be able to survive 1 or 2 extra shots and be able to duck to save yourself instead of just dying instantly. or maybe put a hatch behind them so they can only be shot from the sides-front.

Na, make them as powerful as the horses in BF1. LOL

I have even been shot while ducking.
The top gunner is the easiest target in the game because he practically has no animations to move the hitbox around and he moves in the slow predictable pace of the tank.
    .
I think that dice simply needs to suck it up and either modify the top of the tanks to have a pillbox a bit like the top of the Panzer 38 or to make the top gunners like the horse riders on BF1

If only the military of WW 2 had thought of such a problem. Who knows what they would have come up with....
Mhm maybe something that we can see here in this movie at Minute 4:48 ?:

But for sure we are just uneducated when it comes to this in comparison to these swedish Military experts....

They never try their games, how could they come up with such idea if they don t even know there is a problem.

They could do with some sort of shielding at the very least.

What I would love to see it the ability to close the hatch and look out the episcopes. Maybe allow them to spot enemies from this position.

That's probably the best idea out there. At least spotting enemies would make you a lot more useful, instead of a blind sitting duck.
