Lack of communication and coordination

I hope there is a in-vehicle chat. Past games have really not done well with teamwork when it comes to players outside of your squad. Communication when operating these vehicles is key.

I hope that VoIP comes back to Battlefield 1. It worked pretty good in Battlefield 4.

In BF2MC you could speak to the whole team. Was only 12 v 12 but this was 2005 and was how the game was meant to be played. It also had proximity chat, in that you could hear the enemy if they were talking within a certain range of your location.

YES its sorely missing, far too many crew run party chat on XBL and just do their own thing or at least without a cunning plan. Heck how do you expect to get the best out of a transport choppa if the person flying is a random and not able to communicate with them.

Needs to be seriously considered for teamwork as much as playing in a squad. Last time played full team chat was BF3 on xbox 360 on a west US server. Some smart server managers identified that it made their game better, and in turn their server more popular.

Its rewarding playing with randies that want to do well and fist pump get excited when you finally do pull through for the win. You dont get that playing in a party chat, its so much more friendly

Controversial idea but how about a hierarchical comms system? Squad leaders can talk to all other squad leaders on their team but only the soldiers in their squad. Squad members can talk to each other squad members and their leader. Stops the comms becoming a mess when 32 people are talking at once.

Never played that but I imagine it's similar to the system used in Arma 3
