One fix would be to have an equal number of players in each team. When game mode x starts with 2-4 less on one team, and it stays that way for some time, is not that much fun.. it happens allot.

Proper team balancing is in fps games for 15-20 years. Only in Battlefield....is not.

Super easy fix, last joined player put into team with less players, and last dead player in the team that has more player get to change team.
Private server rule 101, but dice just doesn't want it.
I'm hoping we can get a 32:1 game.

    I once played a game with 30 vs 1.

    Never.

Every time they add in a team balancer the forums get inundated with Battlefield pros claiming they've been wrongfully switched, when the metrics for being switched are/were being bottom of the scoreboard and/or least amount of time on that team. But try telling that to all the guys claiming to have been singlehandedly carrying their team and being put on the losing team and them losing their MVP medal.

I have been switched mid match in other games and screwed over. It happens. But there isn't any reason why complete squads can't be shuffled at the end of each round. Having a string of 350-0's isn't fun. Joining a team that's obviously outclassed is something we will all suffer but at the start of the next round mix the squads up.

They didn't do it for BF1. Why would they for BF5?

It's insane. They appear to balance the players before they've actually loaded. They might be quitting (and often are if they just got smashed) but it balances them anyway.

*Why* not allocate players and shuffle people around *as they actually load into the match*? No idea.

*Why* not tell players *in the previous match* that the teams will be shuffled/balanced so that players don't just leave as the next loads? No idea.

*Why* not make quitting quicker so that the game knows people have quit before balancing? No idea.

There is so much they could do and it's such a fundamental issue, but nope. No progress for years.

Ask for team balancing to be fixed and DICE will break it even more, be careful what you ask for

DICE's idea of team balance is a very drunk one-legged man on a tightrope in a gale. I was playing Grand Ops the other day and was put on the team with loads more players than the other team. It was really boring. I don't understand how they can get it so wrong.

Exactly, you nailed it. One lopsided game is tolerable, five in a row is a different story. Keep squad members together, scramble squads between rounds, that fixes most of this. They also need to kick AFKs after five minutes at the most. These guys who leave their characters in the server while they go mow the lawn or whatever should be booted. And if there are 50 players in the server, it should be 25 on 25, not 30 on 20.

They should also consider ending rounds early when one team is being hopelessly crushed (like being trapped in their spawn), that was done with some server control plugins in the past, either teams could surrender or the plugin would just call it over and start a new round. Other people figured out how to do stuff like that, DICE apparently is not that good.
