Just wondering how you guys are liking the tank combat. I feel like getting into tanks but I want your opinions. Tanks IMO are much more scary especially fi players are protecting it

Tanks have gotten a bit better. They still require that you play defensively and don't roll into areas without infantry to protect you.

Why do you need our opinions to play with something you've already got in front of you?

They're really bad without the unlocks and even then, they're marginally better. Canister shells are pretty much a must for dealing with the Assault master race but you only get 8 of them. Most of the time you just sit out on the outer edges of a firefight, chipping away at the enemy with the pea shooter machines guns and watching everyone else have fun.

    Main...no.
i play everything for the most part but ive got 1d 13 hrs in tanks.(all maxed)
when a trash player keeps spawning in a tank (and its hurting the team) ill take the tank...or of no one is using it and i think we could really push with a tank ill take it... but im decent with a tank for the most part, maybe even good from a strategic view.

As a Long time Tanker the tanks in BFV are better.

However if they don't remove the Systemic Damage. They will never be as useful as they should be.

Just use the mediums with the upgraded cannons & AP. OHK vs infantry within 1.5m, and the AP shreds tanks... Try and hit them in the tracks during frontal engagements for max damage.

Practice swapping between MG & cannon quickly to secure the kill.

Always use cover, infantry support, situational awareness (check alleyways, corners, defilades, flanking routes, etc.) Keep an eye on the flags, don’t get sandwiched and backcapped, look for gaps on the minimap and weaknesses or insecure flanks in your team.

Never give the enemy a fair fight, attack when you are strong and they are weak, defend and reposition when they are strong and you are weak. Let your enemies make the mistake.

Remember to angle your armour and reveal as little of yourself as possible, make yourself a hard target, quickly push out and retreat back into cover, or side scrub when engaging enemy armour, etc.

Prioritise assault and enemy tanks, especially if they have PIATs. They can do 61 max to your rear and 44 to the sides and even the front (if they hit your tracks). Keep an eye out for them! Always engage the greatest threats first, and do not be afraid to retreat to a more suitable engagement range for you, remember, attack when you’re at an advantage, if you are at a disadvantage prioritise changing that. Hit smokes, reverse to friendlies, or range.

    Good luck and have fun!

When you do find the need to hop out (down to 11% health and surrounded by enemy tanks) you end up with what appears to be a Sten in your hands. Just keep that in mind--if you are ok with that then go for it.

Aside from the still latent controls on console it seems fine.
