So if you uninstall the update you get 70-90 fps again?

    I think like this.

Your CPU is fairly maxed out here. And your RAM is used almost entirely. But you claim this has never happened before?

GPUZ . Sensor TAB. Give me a screenshot of that when the framerate drops.

Can you show me a list of running programs in the background too? Make sure you see what is running on top of BF  V and that nothing else is taking up CPU time.

Looks like there is a performance cap there. IDLE probably means the card is idling. Which points to your CPU. GPU should be higher than 50% or low 30's.

Check to see that the PERFCAP REASON isn't anything else other than IDLE.

    Next:

Under GPU clock and MEMORY CLOCK click the number and set it to MAX, then post another Screenshot.

    Under control panel,

    Processes.

Hit where it says CPU at the top until BFV shows up w/ the most used CPU processes listed under it.

    Take a screenshot of that.

They say it is your fault. But I don't think so.
Thank God! I thought I was the only one! I upgraded to a humble Asus RTX2060 6gb. Well, I thought it was going to be enough with 16gb of Ram and a i58400 that can turbo boost into 4.1GHZ when needed, but with BFV seems is not enough!
I can run games like Apex at 144fps with a ver super smooth experience, BF4 and BF1 run like butter in high settings (although I always play medium high and some lows for competitive reasons). PUBG runs more than 120fps here and there, sometimes it lowers to 90fps (when other players are around or when landing on the ground). Pubg has ocassionaly frame drops known by every player of that franchize. But what is going on with BFV?

I have friends with 1060s and 2060s and have the same experience: low GPU usage and a sloppy experience. What I did to improve a little was to UNPARK my cores: windows park a couple of cores, don't know why, so it is a good idea to unpark them! Also I read about ISLC: Intelligent Standby List Cleaner which makes some optimization on Ram usage in real time. Well the experience smoothed alot!. I play with DX12 because it runs so much better, ambient occlusion turned off, etc. The thing is that without that unpark feature, and even with that feature, if you rise the settings to high or lower them to medium-low I don't see much difference in performance and the sloppy experience is still there.

but wait! if you use Vsync it can runs in ultra 60fps almost steady for most of the time, but it stills is far away from a smooth experience....somethingf is pretty weird here!

Do you get the same FPS drops on all maps? Or only certain ones?

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/whats-new-windows-10-version-1809

I dont see anything in this new update that would be causing the problem. I have 1809 and i dont get anything near this.

As i said, if you weren't getting this before and now you are, something changed.

Reinstall your drivers, reset the bios and make your video profile settings default.

From the new picture it doesn't look like your card is limiting performance by throttling frequency. the other picture i saw 982 MHZ, which is way too low, but that was likely because you switched programs. IDLE simply means that performance is limited because the card isn't utilized enough, which we know.

Do you remember what it was when it worked? You should be seeing higher values. The CPU could be the culprit. Or something else is eating up resources.

A few things to try then im out of ideas.

    1. Reset your system BIOS to defaults before bootup.
    2. Perform a clean install of your graphics drivers.
    3. Scan system RAM and check for errors.
    4. Run Furmark and prime 95 stress tests to see if the system functions normally.
    5. Swap out power supplies.

    Guys,

I solved this problem i guess...
I did OC GPU and CPU and now working is stabil.
CPU 4.0 GHZ and 1.30 voltage
    CPU +100 Mem Clock
Now good working BF1 and BFV.

you should definitely get another matching 8gb stick and run in dual channel. from the benchmarks i have seen, average fps will increase by about 20% and minimum fps will increase by about 50%.

Thank you for repling. I think buying 2*8 dual chanell RAM in the following days.

    VSYNC off.

NO way a .3 increase would make that much of a difference w/ the CPU. Unless the CPU wasn't getting to 3.7. IF it wasn't then that might explain it. And the voltage increase might have helped. But im glad you fixed it. It would be interesting to see what would happen if you removed the OC to see how the system responds. If you cared to try.

instead of overclocking.  goto control panel, then power options, choose the high performance plan.  this will set your cpu to run at its max clock speed all the time.  windows might be randomly down clocking your cpu.  sometimes windows will get confused about how much power it needs from your cpu and do this.  happens to me when watching videos online and then the video gets choppy.

also, 16gb of ram will help.  I'm pretty sure bfv alone uses close to 8gb

I have a i7 7700k, gtx 1070, and 16gb of ram and a ssd.  I play on high with lighting and post processing on med settings.  at 1440p.  I get about 85-110 fps.

Same here with my setup uses about 9gig of my memory, 99%gpu usage, 50-70%cpu got it dialed in really good screen set to 120hz and frames limited to 117 via msi afterburner works best on my aging setup, upgrade time soon though..
