Why is this game still a broken train wreck?

I played some BF1 and its night and day between how well BF1 works and how much BFV is just a broken mess. I understand that the game is still kinda new but seeing how this game still has many bugs and still doesn't even have any real new content its nuts that people higher up think its okay.

The higher ups at EA don’t actually play BFV, they spend their nights [removed due to inappropriate content] so they have no idea what the game’s actually like

The funniest thing is probably how some devs have been spending their time working on things like changing flight dynamics which were working well but now suck, and yet we’ve only received one DLC map in six months

What specifically makes BFV a "broken train wreck" in your view?  In comparison to BF4 at the same point in time this game is in pretty good shape in terms of gameplay.  Other than the netcode/TTD issue I don't have that many complaints about how the game runs, it's the outside issues like no rented servers, a weak anti-cheat, and the lack of new content thanks to the fiasco that is Live Service that make me grind my teeth.  With those big problems looming over the game I'm often surprised at how upset people will get over minor things, so I'm curious as to what it is you think are the train-wrecking issues.

Anyone that says the netcode isn’t an issue clearly has no clue what they are even talking about or running triple digit pings!

It’s unfair to compare BF5 to BF1. The first has only been out for 6 months while the latter has got many more development months put into it.

Also the customer payment is different. BF1 had paid DLCs, securing an inflow of cash, while BF5 has a Live Service which does not secure any cash inflow unless people buy cosmetic items which as of yet has not been the case.

There's no money in the game to be had from micros and loot boxes. Nobody cares about the game. Their roadmap is a silly excuse to keep a skeleton crew on the game while they generate bad content for a player base that is hardly there.

They might hook a few more if they go F2P or whatever, but the community first and foremost is what killed this game.

Community: we want free maps for all! This will be awesome guyz!

Community: we want super low TTK with laser bullets like COD! This will be awesome guyz!

Never listen to your community when they obviously are just COD converts and socialists.

The netcode is that bad even the killcam has no idea who killed you!
    It just floats around aimlessly

My guess, Battlefield V is not the success they hoped it would be. Spending more time and resources on this game isn't lucrative.

BF is not just a game, but a brand. Letting BFV turn into an 18 month train wreck unfolding in slow motion until 2020, is also not lucrative or good business practise.

I think they’ll try and fix the game as best they can. Question is what and how much can they do. And when.

@SpinachVsKale I think there are so many important things that should be changed or adjusted that he simply forgot about it. Same happens to me as well as soon as list up all the issues this game has. There are so many that you will always forget about some important ones. However I definitely agree with you, visibility is also an issue.

The writing is on the wall. Live service and mtx isn't generating the projected cash flows. DICE is reallocating resources to the next trainwreck release. The goal of minimizing content while squeezing out profits will continue to prevail. Expect even less content at launch and more ways to pay EA for useless cosmetics and gimmicks. BF franchise is DEAD.

the issues that will break BFV
    • net-code problems
    • class-balance
    • team-balancer
    • maps not coming
    • patches that break more then they fix
    • developers that are out of touch with their own game
    • cosmetics that are beyond lazy
    • weapon-balance that makes everything that isn't an AR/LMG/MMG or Semi-auto obsolete
    • hackers and ppl using every graphical exploit they can find
    • lazy map-design
i bet there are way more but these are my top10
DICE has shamefully made it clear who they want to be in their community and how BF will eventually turn out. maybe BFV is just another bad game like BF4 was but underlining core-implementations in BFV for sake of making BR work made the normal game-play be absolutely ****-poor.
but hey here is hoping BF2020 will be better. andto be better then BFV they just need to release it with 1 more map and ppl will love it by default.....
oh and maybe by fall BFV will either be discontinued all together or they get a grip on at DICE and start to listen to some ideas here on the forums because some are really good or at least better then anything DICE has yet produced

I agree on everything in your list.
If i may add something to this, it feels that DICE just went through a list of tick-boxes to make this game.
    • Sloppy vehicle modeling.
Internal gunner seat on most vehicles is not following the gun even in zoom mode and that is just sloppy work, that is mostly apparent as gunner in a plane where the dome restrict your view.
I am pretty sure that a gunner in real life would have follow the target aiming down the sight and therefore not got interrupted line of sight as much as the swivel allowed, same goes for tanks.

    • Weapon balancing and specialization
This really feels like one of the ticks in that list,  having recoil specialization on guns that really do not need it makes the game feel more like shooting lasers, same goes for the higher muzzle velocity.
Must make it darn hard to balance weaps with that added in to the equation too.

    • Air vehicle and infantry balance on certain maps
I do not really know what the though about having air especially on Fjell , then add bombers into the game with huge amount of payload that they can drop and then circle jerk to point with no reload time just to go back to rinse and repeat.
In BF4 you had a set amount of different air vehicles. Air had most of the maps one attack jet, one stealth jet , one attack chopper , one small chopper, and one transport chopper. Jet´s where for taking out Armored vehicles and other air vehicles.
DICE decided to change this configuration in BF1 to slay infantry and then brought that over to BFV which imo is just effing wrong, that is the armored ground vehicles job if you ever are going to have some kind of balance.

This is the "live service"model, didn't you hear? It offers great quality gaming experience and supports EA execs bonuses. It would get fixed tomorrow if these EA fat cats would actually lose their bonus if their games were judged on quality, not quantity basis. To be fair on this rate, they are likely to lose out on quantity too, EA is a corporate train wreck in slow motion.

And why do you think dice actually play their game? How could they didn't notice netcode?
