How come DICE havent made an apology to the community for the obvious botched BFV?

Remember when they were going through crap for BF1 and guess what they actually made it up to the players. They started doing monthly patches and in some cases bi-monthly. They actually showed they cared. So far in BFV I haven't seen anything to show us that they actually care about this game.

The game was not ruined, it was not finished at launch and still isn't. Perhaps the political views lowered the numbers of pre-orders, but if the game had been good it wouldn't matter.

BFV has a lot of good things, but are let down by the big amount of issues and the general feeling of being rushed (feeling hollow). The game is annoying to play and I think the lack of content and generally buggy state of the game is the biggest factor.

Whether they will be able to save it, we will have to see...

They don't want to admit their political views have ruined the game.
not the emotional/cultural issues of players who are freaked out by female characters.
Really?! You're doing the same bs EA did... People had legit reasons for why they felt the way they felt. But EA basically called them all ignorant and stupid cause they put them on the same level as the raging idiots. Oh wonder these people didn't buy this game as they felt insulted. You telling us "they're freaked out by female characters" is nothing else.

Not sure why they owe an apology, or why I would expect one.   An apology could be seen as them turning this game around with meaningful content.   That's basically what other games have done, most recently Battlefront 2.   Get some maps into the game that remind people they are playing Battlefield, not COD.

That's really the issue at launch...the maps.   Had they shown up with content that reminded players of past Battlefield glory, no one would have cared about females and stupid cosmetics.   But they didn't, and they've only added one map since.

Actually EA caused this. Bad advertising followed by cutting most of the support for this game have left Dice in an impossible, unsaveable position.

But I doubt EA would ever apologize. Just look at Star Wars Battlefront 2 microtransactions.

Because an apology is an admission of being wrong or having wronged another. EA/DICE have been totally honest and forthcoming since launch...to their shareholders.

They don't want to admit their political views have ruined the game.
Their political views had nothing to do with it.  Poor network performance, no rented servers, a weak anti-cheat, and a trickle of new content thanks to the disaster known as Live Service are the problems, not the emotional/cultural issues of players who are freaked out by female characters.
    you forgot

    -Poor marketing
-Poor PR in the wake of a certain "controversy"
    -Delayed launch
    -Busy holiday launch window
-Unfinished/buggy at launch in a already busy window
    -No BR upon release
-Live service isn't causing the slow content feed, it's them having to actually finish/fix the game while juggling new content ON TOP of managing firestorm as well
-By the time firestorm launched Apex Legends another BR game made by the same publisher had already been released which meant EA was cannibalizing/competing with themselves
-Firestorm is tied to the base game for $60, while most other BR's and more important Apex Legends is F2P

"Get Woke, Go Broke" is just some stupid slogan by incel idiots who act like every time a piece of media fails and has diversity in it it's exclusively the diversity that caused the failure. In reality those <people> are a tiny yet extremely loud minority of <people>. Just look at Captain Marvel.

admitting a failure in a current game can lead to a drop in the stock value of the companies involved

DICE Sweden couldn't even apologise for BF4's launch ... EA, of all companies, had to do it for them.

You shouldn't expect apologies from game devs nowadays ... very few of them do it, and even then, they only do it when they're been cornered after a series of idiotic decisions.
At best, you might get a throwaway reward of 5000 coins as 'compensation'.

Just a reminder to everyone in the thread that straying into political discussions will result in thread locking and other infractions.

There is more than enough much more important issues in the game to rip on....eh I mean give feedback to publisher executives (the two bodies who rush the game releases) and devs without even bringing up that rather insignificant angle anyway. ^_^.
Network related, balance related, content quality/quantity related, design choice related (bad visibility and exessive authenticity over gameplay quality) issues etc. There is more ammo to throw at them than one can throw at once.

    Oh spare me OP....

Either play the game, or find another one. Really...you're all bent out of shape because u feel DICE should give a public apology, lol. Sure..we would all love a few more maps, but overall the gameplay and graphics are right on par compared to other Battlefield titles.

Seriously, you obviously have too much time on your hands.
