Limiting my FPS to 60 didn't help me I'm afraid, with or without frame rendering.

    I have a top end i5 cup with a 1080ti all updated.

    I haven't tried vsync yet.

It really grips my shi..... when I look at the videos from the likes of Jackfrags and Westie and many other youtubers at how buttery smooth their games are.

For god sake SURELY Dice has enough data by now to see where the issues are or am I leaving that tick box to send data to DICE on for no good reason.

Yes, they do have data on that. Part of the problem appears to be assignment tracking.
Yesterday early evening my game was not smooth in 32p frontlines. I kept changing settings but to no avail. Past 23:00 hours though, it ran reasonably smooth, not much hitching or laggy feeling. Which makes me wonder if online player numbers play a part in this problem. Combined with the assignment tracking.
I never had FPS drops btw, sure, lost a couple over the patches, but I’m still well over 80 FPS with my settings at 1440p.

why would anyone leave game running by itself for 18 hours, wanting to use computer as heater? Anyway, These crashes to desktop are not caused by hardware but due to game itself. Happens to me also from time to time and when it happens, I need to do cold boot to computer, not just restart. If not doing cold boot, next crash comes pretty soon and it often is BSOD. So it has to be some memory issue in BFV as memroy is fully cleaned only making cold boot, not some fast boot.

Stutter is a DICE feature by this time in the franchise.
Sadly it is up to new pathetic levels.

Hi. Im having an issue in BFV where I get CPU spikes like once or twice a minute and it really ruins the experience. Ive used perfoverlay.drawgraph 1 to check that it was CPU spikes and not the GPU.  Framerate is capped at 144 and I play on low settings and never seen it go below that. However I just tried putting everything on Ultra which didnt change anything. Battlefield 1  and Apex run very nice.

Edit: Menus and endscreens also a quite a stutterfest with multiple massive CPU spikes but maybe thats normal?

Don't listen the the above poster. Try downloading Intelligent Standby List Cleaner. It will keep the Standby List in RAM from filling up and causing stutters.

Also disable DX12 and use DX11 instead.

Just ignore that Hydro guy above, he is so clueless that he got no idea if he is getting a skin or a weapon, so don't expect valuable tips from him.

Simply wait for DICE to fix what they messed up in may 23rd update.

Yeah I wasnt even going to answer that first one. Dont know if hes just stupid or if its a troll, a 9700k isnt much of an upgrade if it was a serious comment.

I already use DX11 because DX12 stutters even more and always have been. Ye Ive used the standby list cleaner on my last PC. Ima give that a try thank you.

i7 8700 is very good for the Vega 56, in your game settings, turn on GPU restricted memory and then restart, having it off causes the very thing your talking about

Is this magically gone this evening? I don't think I am seeing stutter anymore, at least since this evening. I have also made sure bunch of settings are configured as suggested by the power users.

The micro suttering is there with or without Vsync. The performance for me gets better with Vsync on only because it lowers CPU usage.

Setting up emptystandbylist didnt help me so Im still having this problem. And as far as I know Ive had this problem since I downloaded the game, its not something new.

BFV is just so different playing on Intel vs AMD cpu's, this is a test on YouTube i saw today.

    <img src="https://i.imgur.com/dK723RN.png

They say it stutters on Intel and AMD is a better playing experience because of the min fps.

Just saw a video on YouTube that explained Intel i5-7600K vs Ryzen 5 1600 min fps was 50 vs 89 and average frame rate was close resulting in game play that was stuttering on Intel and smooth on AMD. They need to fix this or tell us when the game comes out the cpu used will change game play.

No I dont think Ryzen is more smooth than a 8700k/9700k/9900k but sure, a ryzen 2700x might be better than an Intel i5.
Just tried alot of tweaks myself but nothing seems to help. Narvik is the best map to test this because it seems to stress the CPU the most.
Its gotten to the point where Im gonna have to stop playing it, Im not gonna bother playing like this and I did try everything. Ima have to go back to BF1 I guess.

The only fix I can come up with is buying an 8core/16thread CPU but I just bought my 8700 and to be honest. How long will a CPU with just 2 more core last me if that what it takes? If Battlefield keep making their titles this CPU heavy there might be need for a 12core chip in next Battlefield who knows. I find it very strange none the less since (I would assume)  more than half of the playerbase are  6core  i5s without HT.

Im gonna see if I can get someone with a 9900k send or upload a video when theyre running Narvik at 144fps cap, it would be interesting to see if thats even enough. Sadly I have no friends who use a 9900k though.

Edit: I just wish if it is the case thats nobody runs this smooth at 144 with 6 cores that Dice could mention that in the game requirements so I wouldnt have to upgrade CPU 3 times for the same game

Is this possible that Origin Servers was caused issue? Game was exit to desktop near 3.a.m 2 June without error message in event log, just exit. But i saw Origin for a moment white/grey screen and loading circle and again fine. Just asking :)

I was in Campaign Singleplayer MOde,ONLINE mode ORigin. But in offline mode its possible to play.
