(For some reason I couldn't post at the Tech Section, sorry btw, i'm new to the forum).

Tl;dr: rtx 2070 oc + i7 8700k at 4.3ghz + 16gb 3000mhz not getting stable 120fps at 1680x1050. (new pc, help)

Hello, guys.

I recently bought a high end pc for 1080p gaming. But, for some reason, it's having issues running some games such as CSGO and BF1. On BF4 it knocks on 200 FPS full ultra, and in PUBG it hits 140-150 med, also full ultra.

PC SPECS:
MOBO: Gigabyte Z390M Gaming
GPU: RTX 2070 Gigabyte Gaming OC (about 1750-1800 according to Afterburner).
CPU: i7 8700k 4.3ghz
Memory: Ballistix Crucial 16Gb (2x8) 3000mhz
SSD+HD and etc.

I'm running it on a 1680x1050 old 60hz monitor, till I get money to buy my AW2518HF. Also, it is connected to my RTX via DVI>HDMI cable.

All drivers are up to date and all configurations are set to max performance.

My question is:

I really don't wan't to overclock my GPU right away, since I got my PC for about a week now. Also, I can't withstand that this whole setup is not able to hit 120FPS at 1680x1050, when all the benchmarks on the internet got 160+ in this game.

Could this performance break be caused by my monitor, in any means?

Anyone with similar setup to give me a hint?

Thanks in advance.
