Firestorm Adds/Fixes ASAP

1. Fix "Angel Wing" Rendering Issues - what appears to be a client-side rendering issues but certain players appear to have their player textures projected into the sky, creating a visible beacon from across the map that obviously ruins any sort of stealth dynamic needed in BR.  Visibility of the issue seems to be random and who sees it for which players, casting doubt on whole legitimacy of each match.

2. Prevent "Teaming" in Solo and Squads - not sure how this can be achieved but there seems to be an epidemic of players joining the same match and working together beyond what is intended for solo or squad matches.  Perhaps players can be reported or banned?

3. Add More Weapons - I believe right now Firestorm utilizes only 25% (if that) of weapons in BFV.  Why not add the others for more random variety?

4. Player Weapon Specializations - Make it so each tier weapon (common, rare, epic, legendary) essentially unlocks the corresponding number of specializations a player may or may not have for a particular weapon.  Make the type of sights available to equip also a function of tier.  If players don't have specializations unlocked for a certain weapon then limit the perks available when they pick up that tier weapon (until they unlock them).

5.  Add Another Map :)  - A Normandy or German Burning/Devastated Countryside map would be very cool

Firestorm lends great variety to BFV despite what some might say.  As an avid BF fan I love the change of pace and increased tactical intensity of the BR mode - the mode should not be neglected in favor for the rest of the game.  It won't take a whole lot to bring Firestorm from good to great and extend its life along with the other modes.  Just look to make some of the above changes and possibly introduce some F2P trial periods to expose more players.  Maybe that would allow a return of duos or even possibly a team mode.

    Let's talk weapons and gadgets.

As of this writing, Firestorm uses 4/12 Assault primaries, 5/11 Medic, 7/13 Support, and 4/11 Recon, totalling 20/47 primaries. They use 5/7 sidearms and 6/7 throwables.

With only 43% of primaries in use, this is the big and easy area to improve. Ideally we'd get all of them in, but if it could only be a few, I'd pick the Ribeyrolles, SL16, Ag m/42, ZK-383, MP34, KE7, S2-200, M.95-30, RSC, and P08 Carbine as standard weapons, and put in the M28 con Tromboncino as a gold legendary with unlimited (or just a lot of) RG rounds, as well as a gold legendary M30 Drilling that naturally requires both shotgun shells and sniper rounds but deals enhanced damage. This would add a lot of distinct weapons.

I'd replace the Liberator pistol with the Repetierpistole M1912. The Liberator is a really dumb meme weapon. I'd also get rid of all melee weapon pickups from the mode (excluding bayonets), because they're even more worthless than the Liberator.

The main gadgets not currently implemented are the PIAT, RG smoke, sniper decoy, and spawn beacon. I think they should all be added. The first three would function just like in the main game. The spawn beacon would be a rare pickup that is guaranteed to drop in resupply points (objective captures) and could be put into Squads and Duos (not Solos) as a gadget to respawn dead teammates, who come back with zero gear other than their knife.

I actually think points 3-5 are very bottom of the barrel in terms of importance.

They can't even fix base level stuff with the game, asking them to put in a new system to add optics and specialisations is never going to happen.

Focus on the things that ACTUALLY need to be done like increasing the playerbase with free weekends, a F2P model, or some marketing.

Why the HELL would they put a new map in Firestorm is people aren't playing the one they do have?

Really good points you are bringing to the table.. I also got a list for making it better:
    Firestorm fixes:

Make it free for all(only firestorm to get more players in the game).
Put it into the advanced search, then you can almost find a match all the time.
Bring back duos, so annoying you have to play with random people.
Make it possible to invite friends, if theres not enough players in the squad or some jumps out.
    Add more locations.
The time in lobby is to much, 3 minutes are way to long, and even though theres 64 out of 64 players, alot of times it takes forever for the time to go to 10 sec and counting down..
alot of times the game starts before theres 64 players, and thats fine but the map is to big for lets say 44 people, couldnt you make a automatic smaller circle in those games?
And please start doing something to the cheaters in the game in general!
You also need to do something about people playing as 2 squads, its kind of cheating when they rush you 8 players v 4.. Dont know what you could do, but maybe add a timer where you have to kill the enemy in a matter of seconds..
The looting system still needs alot of work, dont know how many times i havent been able to take some loot. Because its in a rock or in a wall, really something that ruins the gameplay exp..

Yes probably should have qualified those as wishful thinking for the mode - but agree fixing the bugs should be the priority if nothing else (much like the rest of the game).  They definitely need to pay more attention to some of the current issues in firestorm if they ever dream of doing some sort of free weekend or F2P expose as most people will encounter one game-ruining bug and call it quits forever.  So perhaps if they address those and increase the player base we can discuss points 3-5 in more detail - eventually the mode needs more gun variety and to better use the mechanics already available in BFV.  And yes I think we can do a lot better for a WW2 BR than in middle-of-nowhere Norway.  But yes, agree in spirit with your comment.

I agree that fixing bugs and cheating is more important, but it's also kinda obvious and not as interesting to discuss as changes that would tweak the meta.

Playerbase is too small for there to even be a meta imo

Ha I got teamed up again on solo.  Makes me not want to not even waste time playing the mode at the risk of it happening.  I guess we need more players to make joining the same server nearly statistically impossible.  Were players ever able to join the same solo match on PUBG, Fortnite, BLOPs?

APEX Legends is a pretty popular game and has a teaming problem

#4 is dumb, and wouldn't have any benefits on game play. Instead it would only handicap players who havn't been playing as much as others.

Not sure how it wouldn't benefit the gameplay - it's the same mechanic as in the rest of the game, actually allowing players to cater their weapons to their particular play style.  Why not utilize that instead of random weapon benefits with random sights?  Unlocking weapons and specializations is part of the game so why not introduce that to the BR mode as well?  It's not like it is hard or takes long to unlock weapon specializations - and I'd much rather have MY weapon setup than some random one.
