When Tanks was actually fun and required skill.

Going back and looking at some old videos I posted I came across some Tanking videos on Battlefield 4. God I miss the Vehicle combat in Battlefield 4 where Tanks wasn't so useless and you could take objectives. Hope Battlefield 6 returns vehicle combat back to the glory days.

Tanks were wildly unbalanced in BF4. Their acceleration/deceleration was insane, the turret-speed was the same as the mouse/controller sensitivity and  thermal optics, all things that made vehicles overpowered.

Having tanks go 60-4 in a round (which happened a lot in B4/BF1) is not good game-balance. It was perhaps fun for the tank-driver, but not for anybody else...

BFV got many things wrong, but balance-wise, tanks works much better in BFV than in previous games (not saying things are perfect).

Normally there were enough engineers to take care of a careless tanker.

Being a Repair Monkey was also more rewarding in BF4.

The problem is that 'not careless tankers' dominates too much in BF4.

Vehicles in BF4 was too deadly, when operated by good/experienced players. BF1 has the same problem, especially with planes on some maps.

But its though for Dice to balance vehicles vs. infantry - it will probably never be perfect.

There are so many options for infantry to fight back against vehicles in BF4.

You could also argue that guns are “too deadly when operated by good/experienced players”, using your 60-4 score logic.

Edit: looking at your weapon usage you didn’t really attempt to fight back against vehicles in BF4. Just happy choosing support 95% of the time and complaining I guess.
