A little bit confused with this.
.
I'm in a Tiger Tank, I see an M8 Greyhound and I shoot its side armour. 20 damage. It rotates its turret and shoots my front armour and does 20 damage and destroys my turret ring. It then proceeds to drive in circles around me and destroys me with another 2 shots.
.
I respawn as the Tiger Tank again, I encounter the same M8 Greyhound and I manage to get off 5 shots with 4 hits, he was constantly moving in 1 direction so there is no way he's getting repaired. He had half his health left after he killed me. It was a 1v1 and there were no other shots coming in against either of us, can someone please explain this because I don't understand.
.
Is the Tiger Tank useless in this game? Is the Greyhound OP? Was my enemy cheating? I mean I can't see ANY scenario where I should lose to a tank which is more or less a toaster with a turret, where I am actively playing(not afk or lagged out).

It could be using the armour piercing round upgrade in the specialisation tree.

That and the mobility vs a tiger tank can help it out.

You need to shoot it at the rear which is the weak spot,  side or top end damage will be lesser.

I hate slow tanks in this game, and never choose the Tiger, Churchill, etc.   For me it's Panzer with AP mines and flares, Valentine, and Greyhound.      You may have been hitting at bad angles?

An M8 would not survive a single hit from a Tiger

Angle is key. Damage varies massively depending on the angle you shoot the enemy tank at. If the greyhound was getting hits at close to 90 degrees angle it can do significant damage. That's why you should always slightly angle your tank in a tank vs tank fight.
I havent read up on the exact damage/armor values of the different tanks and ammo types but afaik many tanks have a weak spot in the front under the turret where you can easily get critical hits. The sides and the turret itself generally have stronger armor afaik. Keeping that in mind what you told us doesn't sound so surprising.
Btw I would use the heat t ammunition for the tiger tank. It's incredibly powerful against other tanks, being able to one shot some tanks when getting a nicely angled hit in the back of an enemy tank and dealing more than 50% damage on well angeled shots on all types of tanks.

This is the same question but replace tanks with soldiers. How is it that I get 3 body shots on someone that can't see me with a high-powered sniper rifle and they don't die then they proceed to locate me and hit me once and kill me! Not very realistic! Has happened to me countless times. I consider myself a average player(rank 63) that knows it's just a game and I honestly feel that people who get angry and post negative stuff should get a life outside of video games but in all seriousness can someone please explain the damage ratio of bullets? I know all guns have diff damage effects but come on 3 body shots with a high-powered sniper rifle and not only do they live but end up killing me. It's almost enough to make me stop playing the game. Please someone explain.

It's hard to answer these questions without video footage. More often than not people overlook a certain aspect of the situations in their description of the events, which is why recording these things is so useful.
Anyways, there's a few things that could have caused this. The most probable scenario is that it was simply a medic that healed himself up between shots. If you were using the krag, Ross, Lee Enfield or k31 this is even more likely as those do no more than 65 damage at max. I suggest you record such an instance next time it happens and I can assure you thst people will be able to tell exactly what's the issue.

I'd vote for bazooka to cause more damage to a tank.

Otherwise like said obove. Front is the strongest and back is the weakest at any tank.

I think Azura made some nice videos on the subject
    .
Since BF1, DICE developed some obsession with adding more realism to the tank related gameplay while somehow also making them overall worse than older games.
    .
Unless the map/mode design allows for a safe tank camping heaven (Aerodrome breakthrough and generaly aerodrome), the tanks are just finger food for the excessive amounts of action men (now with  WW2 SMAWs so they do not have to account for drop much).
    .
When it comes to tank vs tank  the special HESH/HE-AT rounds are the best cause they  do both great impact damage but their blast ignores the angles, they can sometime ignore physics and even kill the guy behind the tank who repairs it.

Another game mechnaic that doesnt work... hit a puma with sherman AP rounds straight at the side 90 degree, close range... but mysticaly it was a "glancing blow" doing only 30 damage... just a pro tip: if you rotate your hull + turret rotation you will be able to keep on tracking those light scout vehicles when they try to outmanouver you... ohhh and lets dont forget those magical tiger weak spots the tracks doing rediculous amounts of damage... lets be honest if DICE didnt abandoned BF5 just after the release and kept working on making that game mechanic work correctly people might have start to like it...

I got 60hp on a greyhound with an AP pistol by shooting it in the side somewhere. Usually it’s 25.. probably a bug.

This is just awful. It ruins the experience of tanking in the game.

"This is just awful. It ruins the experience of tanking in the game."
    -----------------------
It doesnt because the M8 Greyhound wasnt a tank but a light scout vehicle with 10mm paper thin armor... its the same stupid think like the P70 NIGHTFIGHTER... a nightfighter? in BF5?
    -----------------------
"An M8 would not survive a single hit from a Tiger"
    -----------------------
I think with a lot of luck it could when hit by AP rounds, because of the paper thin armor the projectile could pass right through the vehicle and if not hitting the ammodepot, motor, fuel tank, or a crew member would not do any damage... the americans shooted the japanes tanks with HE rounds because of the same reason, they where all light tanks with paper thin armor

And one last thing regarding "glancing blows", sloped armor does not mainly deflect projectiles because its sloped but rather because its make armor thicker...
