A little bit confused with this.
.
I'm in a Tiger Tank, I see an M8 Greyhound and I shoot its side armour. 20 damage. It rotates its turret and shoots my front armour and does 20 damage and destroys my turret ring. It then proceeds to drive in circles around me and destroys me with another 2 shots.
.
I respawn as the Tiger Tank again, I encounter the same M8 Greyhound and I manage to get off 5 shots with 4 hits, he was constantly moving in 1 direction so there is no way he's getting repaired. He had half his health left after he killed me. It was a 1v1 and there were no other shots coming in against either of us, can someone please explain this because I don't understand.
.
Is the Tiger Tank useless in this game? Is the Greyhound OP? Was my enemy cheating? I mean I can't see ANY scenario where I should lose to a tank which is more or less a toaster with a turret, where I am actively playing(not afk or lagged out).

That and the mobility vs a tiger tank can help it out.
You need to shoot it at the rear which is the weak spot, side or top end damage will be lesser.
Angle is key. Damage varies massively depending on the angle you shoot the enemy tank at. If the greyhound was getting hits at close to 90 degrees angle it can do significant damage. That's why you should always slightly angle your tank in a tank vs tank fight.
I havent read up on the exact damage/armor values of the different tanks and ammo types but afaik many tanks have a weak spot in the front under the turret where you can easily get critical hits. The sides and the turret itself generally have stronger armor afaik. Keeping that in mind what you told us doesn't sound so surprising.
Btw I would use the heat t ammunition for the tiger tank. It's incredibly powerful against other tanks, being able to one shot some tanks when getting a nicely angled hit in the back of an enemy tank and dealing more than 50% damage on well angeled shots on all types of tanks.
It's hard to answer these questions without video footage. More often than not people overlook a certain aspect of the situations in their description of the events, which is why recording these things is so useful.
Anyways, there's a few things that could have caused this. The most probable scenario is that it was simply a medic that healed himself up between shots. If you were using the krag, Ross, Lee Enfield or k31 this is even more likely as those do no more than 65 damage at max. I suggest you record such an instance next time it happens and I can assure you thst people will be able to tell exactly what's the issue.
Otherwise like said obove. Front is the strongest and back is the weakest at any tank.
I think he means the projectile you can use on the Support class.
This is just awful. It ruins the experience of tanking in the game.
For 3 possiblty
Someone rapper his tank and it was in your blind spots
Someone put dynamite or explosive near you could be friendly mine too
He was shoot your back time back is wick
