This is what is found in the bottom right corner of the dark painting. Seriously suspect it to have something to do with the morse code translations.
(the painting was mentioned, but didnt find a clear image, this is from the painting on Amiens, building at the statue)
agreed, found this suspicious aswell when the image of the painting was posted, i will try and find out what it means.
I saw this painting also in the same place and same map, I believe the letters were the same as in this picture, I'll check when I get on the game later. Don't know if this helps because I'm new to this article and easter egg hunts in general.
I checked out the Javascript (404page.js) controlling this input field on the 404 page. The 5 options the pages give you (the numbers) seem to be the only ones that its listening for. So probably unrelated.
correct, we can let the website hang for now i assume.
Most likely unrelated...trying to go to settings on the battlefield website I got this prompt. Possibly the way to enter a code?
Correct, i get the same and i can, indeed, fill in stuff after the ''bf>'' part
I had a bug with the UI that happened weeks before the open Beta, so I think this is not related to an EE of any kind
on the other hand, why would casual random players be able to fill in information in half **** sections of the website?
Well, bad Development could be one cause, maybe they control UI access from the user over console. I see no sense in it, but why not . could be something, though
an other thought, has anyone reverse searched the image via google?
Ok listen: World War 1 is when the enigma was mostly used, and the headphones are what people used to listen to the spoken enigma phrases, the code above is enigma.
Just my 2 thoughts, we are all looking for a code to translate into text to enter into something, maybe the guy is right with the whole https://www.battlefield.com/career/settings. so here's my theory WW1 was all about code's so the otherside had a hard time cracking your communications, what if you after you have found everything in the game to do with this EE that you have to input this as a cypher/code in to the above website? this could be the same as the bf4 code for the phantom where the access code (where you put it in on battlelog) was the same for everyone but the in game code was different for each person (the lanterns message)

From what I've read the enigma machine came in the 1920's and was therefore not used in WW1.
wait, do we have a time interfall for the headphones to respawn?
Enigma decoders had different sequences every so many minutes, maybe we need an enigma website and enter sentances or the decoded morse code into that thing every so many minutes?

Is there a reason the simple A1 code format has been ruled out?
problem is, we basicaly have nothing solid to decode, all thing we have is based on some POSSIBLE morse code which translates to very random, unclear stuff.
i'm going to ''comb the desert'' so to say (yes, BF4 EEHers know that joke) on the maps of BF1 to things other than the headsets.
hidden messages, numbers, images, items etc.

Spammed like crazy, i cant get anything when backwards searching for the image with the letters and the cross.
It meant you had to go into the the elevator and go through the forcefield. Has anyone checked for something similar on the new companion app?

Here's a source on WW1 cryptography

Cant get any information from that

Enigma was invented by the German engineer Arthur Scherbius at the end of World War I, so its plausible they used it during the aftermath of the 1s WW
yeah i had the link coppied, along with 500 other things from work xD had to quickpaste it real quick :P
