WELCOME, We greatly appreciate your joining our servers as well as the TeamSpeak3. You'll find this is the "BEST" place to play BF4. If you have any Q & A PLEASE feel free to ask. You'll find we do things here MUCH DIFFERENTLY than other servers you've played in. THANKS AGAIN!
ATTENTION ALL sP8z members & potential members alike! I have made effort to contact a BATTLEFIELDV game developer in order to share our concerns. We will discuss this in great length this Saturday & possible Sunday morning so all are informed.
Ryan McArthur, Producer for Engagement & Core Gameplay on Battlefield V
I'm glad to finally be able to contact someone with some authority regarding BFV!!! :-) First off I am the founder of [sP8z] KILLEM & CHILLEM along with 700+ awesome members of which have been gaming since the release of BATTLEFILED 1942. Yes there are some of us whom have been gaming together for over 22 years! We currently rent 4 servers thru GameServers all of which are BATTLEFIELD4. Our members have asked me repeatedly are we going to transition over to BATTLEFILEDV, my reply is as it was prior to the release of BATTLEFILED1, not as of yet. We took a community vote & the decision was made to NOT play BATTLEFILED1. WHY?
Simple:
1- We cannot transfer our current server funds into another server provider. With that being said we currently have $1,196.93 USD surplus to support all 4 of our BATTLEFIELD4 servers, they are paid until July of 2019.
2- We checked into a BATTLEFIELD1 server & found that we would have little to no control over the server. With that being said we were NOT happy in the fact that the server rental program that was in place has changed.
3- No kick / Kill / Ban or remove a person of which is playing in our server & therfore we are NOT impressed.
That's just a few simple topics not to mention a country kicker which our current servers are set up with U.S. & Canadian players ONLY!
Here are the QUESTIONS my community would like to know-
( 1 ) Will there be independant Server Rental thru server providers as there used to be, ie. GameServer / Fragnet ect.ect.?
( 2 ) If NOT then WHY?
Your LOOSING millions of dollars by ignoring us consumers & the gaming communities alike. Your servers are horrible to say the least & YES we have played in them with great dissappointment, so much so we don't even play BATTLEFIELD1 / HARDLINE any longer. I as well as the members whom did are actually dissappointed in the fact we PAID for a product & feel as if we got screwed. We don't buy games to play them the way YOU want us to, we buy games to play them the way WE WANT! If that sounds harsh then so be it. You don't spend your hard earned money to be regulated in how one can play & whom you can play with. Playing games is supposed to be fun & you guy's think that playing it on your servers designed the way YOU did makes it fun. We have a different view on the matter obviously!
We want the ability to have FULL CONTROL, afterall WE PAY for the server as well as the game WE purchased. Our community is strong & I'd like to keep it that way but you guy's don't necessarily care about communities, that's our current position on the matter, you view it as a profit. There are quite a few gaming communities out there that I have personally spoken with various leaders in regard to the future of gaming & we all share the same opinion. We all agree that without communities your profit margins will continue to shrink & the introduction of NEW players will dwindle. We play as a group every Friday Saturday & Sunday religiously & have for years thru the use of our TeamSpeak3 & we have a blast.
You do realize games like PU Battlegrounds will soon have private server rental same as a few other HOT releases. I'm just going to spell it out, WE invest money into these games & the more you take away, the further you push us away from buying your products. As for cheat engines ect. We don't mind having that in place but gives us back what we have now & we'll be happy. I'm sorry if this seems like a rant but it's a HONEST rant from NUMEROUS individuals whom are consumers / gamers ect.ect.! If you'd like to hook up with us in TeamSpeak3, I would STRONGLY ENCOURAGE that as well as appreciate it & so would our members. We're not hard to find & would entertain any such gathering.
As for BATTLEFIELDV, most all of our members have pre-ordered it but all have sworn thur a community vote- including myself, if independant server rental is NOT returned we will each apply for a full refund & decide on where & what we intend to do. Also if you'd like to share this with any of your superiors, feel free to do so. This is our way of protesting in a professional manner, now the ball is in your court!
Our TeamSpeak3 info:
LABEL: KILLEM & CHILLEM
ADDRESS: 104.156.254.207 port: 9144
You can easialy find our 4 BATTLEFIELD4 servers by searching thru the browser & typing in KILLEM & CHILLEM
Thank You for your responce and listening to our concerns!
Hopefully there will be some understanding that European play and North American play is decidedly different.
The fun we have in our servers, helping guys play and get the most out of the game truly enhances the game for everyone. If they take that opportunity away by allowing the hacks to dictate, then there is no "game" just putting money in a bottomless pit with no hope of return.
I will not be buying BATTLEFIELD V unless I can play in servers that are regulated effectively like ours are. Too many times I have bought into these games only to find they are essentially unplayable within a couple weeks due to all the hacks. Sorry, I really do not have money to throw away. I have been gaming for over 20 years. It is fast losing it's appeal in the Battlefield series. God help me I may have to learn Candy Crush or COD!
Here is the current position of sP8z / KILLEM & CHILLEM-
( 1 ) Our current BATTLEFIELD4 servers are paid IN FULL ( all 4 servers ) until roughly May - June - July of 2019.
Currently we are $1,196.93In the POSITIVE & the TeamSpeak3 is also PAID for until roughly July of 2019. I have NOT went into the financials to get the exact dates ect. ect.. If you require that information I will supply it via TeamSpeak3 preferably.
( 2 ) I propose a COMMUNITY MEETING to discuss all the subjects I need to share with EVERY MEMBER. The meeting will be held 7/21/2018 @ 10:00am CST. Also I may schedule a meeting for Sunday depending on the membership that can make the Sat. meeting. I really need EVERY MEMBER to participate in these meetings as we have some voting that needs to be taken care of. Some of the information will require further meeting dates but as usual we need to get the ball rolling per say.
PLEASE SHARE the information so all members can be present & have their voice on matters!
Great post Gunny!! Hope they will give serious consideration. Love Battlefield, would hate to leave, but not going to pay to be hacked etc.
Reality is that if there is no 24/7 or Procon, there is no control and we are subject to a bunch of guys who love to terrorize the servers. I hate when they come in the server and act like they control it, when they don't and do NOT care one bit about what WE pay for.
Honestly I am sooo tired of paying for a game that I can not play because others buy cheats. Sorry, I have too much integrity to pay for that crap. The genius of the game is the strategy and team play etc. Community is sooo important and we have that with BF4.
Everything I see IN BF5 with no servers we control means that we do not get to play OUR games the way WE like to play and have fun doing so! We continue to grow because , so many other players want to play the way we play... good team play not just squad play. We help each other with their games, Not boosting but teaching them HOW to actually play the game! If BFV changes that dynamic, it changes gaming and it is no longer fun. That change for me says no more Battlefield to me.
I've been playing Battlefield for a long time. Some of my favorited are sadly no longer available. Until BF1 came around I was happy but BF1 Beta was very disappointing do I didn't buy the game. I've heard that the BF5 will be set up like BF1. Currently we at sP8z have several servers that we pay for that we can control and it seems that EA has decided to take away many of these.
I have heard that BF5 has the potential to be a great game but if EA continues in the direction it is it is my opinion that it will have about the dame support that BF1 has which is very little and worsening.
Wake up EA and realize that we are the ones who buy your games thus allowing you to continue to make money which in turn pays your salary. Don't ignore us.
iv been playing battlefield 4 for a long time. iv also played battlefield 1 and i find that the custom servers in battlefield 4 add trumendus value to battlefield 4 by adding verity to the BF4 community. when i go to battlefield 1, i find that there is not that much verity for servers and custom game so i don't play BF1 that much because i find that there are a lot more hackers because there is no way for server admins to ban players just kick them. In bf4 server admins a allowed to ban people for there server hand make a better community. if BF5 will be the same as BF1 i will not buy it
Well Gooch, based upon the meeting this morning... looks like EA stands to lose about 70,000 if all the players in the meeting hold to what they were saying. It is really bad that after so many years of being committed to the Battlefield franchise, that we are now faced with looking for some other game. I sincerely hope that Ea will hear what the actual consumers of the game are saying not those who really have not invested years in the game.
The whole idea behind a private server is having control of who plays in it, which gives us the ability to remove players that may be hacking, or cheating. If EA pursues the path we seem to be on I will not spend my money on it. I would love nothing more than to play a new game with new maps but not at the expense of playing with low lives that like to cheat or hack..
I have played battlefield series for two games now, so I'm fairly new to the battlefield world. I will say that I used to play call of duty, but the mechanics and structure of the game is what won my interest and time to play this game. I will say with the changes both outlined by others in these posts and the facts I have discovered; if comes to release date, I WILL NOT be one to purchase and play Battlefield V.
I am a 63 year old player, I lived through Vietnam, the real version not the game, and if you want to make a really popular game you need to release the functionality needed to maintain a well played game, My point is leave well enough alone, we are suppose to live in a democratic country, with you taking away the tools we need to run a GREAT sever, you are making it a socialist company. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE !!
I've been gaming for many years now. In my library of games are the following: Battlefield 1942, Hardline, Bad Company, Battlefield 3, Battlefront and Battlefield 4. Out of these I currently only play BF4. This is because the rest don't provide me the same satisfaction in gaming as with BF4, such as the mechanics; server control; graphics etc..... Meaning I've spent a lot of money on games and then only to be disappointed with the purchase and gameplay. That being said, if Battlefield 5 is no better or provides a better gaming experience than BF4 then I won't support or buy!
Battlefield 4 has spoiled me. I purchased all your Battlefield games. I am hoping its as good as 4 or 1942. You could make lots of money if you made new maps. We have the guns. Need to have a contest for the best maps made by us out here. That said. I will buy Battlefield 5 so money talks. keep us happy and you will be.
I am going on 58 years old been gaming for the last 30 years, I started gaming on a commodore 64. In the past I done beta testing with Half life mods DOD and and TF. My part in the beta testing was to tweak the server we had for optimization. At that time I ran with a Clan Called COFR. Crusty old Fossil Rockers.
Even back then we had issues with hackers. Not only were they trying to hack the game, but also hack the servers the game ran on. For me I loved the fact we can modify the servers to suite our gaming nights. Ever play DOD with low gravity, talk about a hoot.
To get to the point I've seen in the past that the gaming companies think that they know how to run the games for the community. Well they do, TO A POINT.
Companies do not have the manpower to monitor the servers to keep. Not only hackers, but even worse kids that screw up the gaming experience with Vulgar and colorful languages. They do this not only in chat but in voice. Yes I know I can mute them, but why should I put up with that.
Having the gaming community the ability to control and monitor servers to a extent to keep hackers at bay. You are also letting the gaming community come up with ingenious ways of modifying the servers to experience maps like you never imagined.
EA you know what happens with you give the gaming communities the ability to control and modify servers? You get MODS, don't you guys get it! It's the gaming community that creates new maps, new textures, new ways to create games that run off your original engine.
I have BF1, BF2, BF3, BF4,BF2142, BF Hardline, MOH Pacific assault and about 30 more games, not all are EA games.
Let the gaming community have the ability to control and monitor servers please. Can you also let us have the ability to create maps please. I loved programing new maps in the Half Life series to a extent that I still play games today.
Can you imagine the type of maps that can be created. In fact I believe their are very popular games out their that started with a idea to make a mod or to create a map. That turned into multi million dollar companies.
I will be a gamer for life, its you as a company that dictates which games I buy, or not to buy.
Yours truly CoFr[FOT]
AKA Crusty old Fossil Rocker Father of Twins
Hello EA My name is John AKA Anubis7814, and my second account for my family could play screen name Scarab7814. I was turned on to your Battlefield franchise with Battlefield 2. Since then i have purchased Battlefield 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, 2 copies, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 3, 2 copies, Battlefield 4, 2 copies, Battlefield Hard Line and Battlefield 1 and all the expansions that were available. Now if you don't see that as dedication then i don't know what will. I am very concerned with what i hear about Battlefield 5 is going to be. I am a proud member of < < < KILLEM & CHILLEM > > > a great gaming community and I will only play with my community and that is something you should consider that your biggest sales will come from the gaming community. Do not take away the ability to control our games that we so proudly spend our hard earned dollars on. For years i wondered why the Call of Duty franchise had such a strong following. How did they ever compete with the Battlefield series? Battlefield 1 was a beautiful game, great graphics amazing story lines but the thing you did that you made a big mistake on was that you pretty much controlled what we can and can not do, and even then you crushed the Call of Duty franchise. They tried to come back with that trash of a world war 2 game and failed. I laughed when i saw a huge amount of Call of Duty copies being sold on line, in garage sales, on apps like Let go and in Facebook. You have won over a huge amount of Call of Duty fans and i'm sure you made a killing in sales with Battlefield 1. however i barely play Battlefield 1 because I found it to be a huge disappointment. Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 blew me away and I can not stop playing. I am among many die hard Battlefield fans and i really want to stay with you, a loyal customer to EA and it's products but if you continue to go the way you are going well then I will take my money else were. You still have time to fix your new future release of Battlefield 5 and give us the control of our own servers were we can have the ability to play with people who pay for an awesome product which is Battlefield. To remove the hackers that ruin our game and your creation. The Battlefield series is the best, don't make another mistake and ruin the huge following that EA has. Come out great and please don't disappoint. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely your loyal customer Anubis.
Anubis, you have made some great points!
Your point about the games you have already bought is well said. I have been buying EA Battlefield series for years. I started gaming back in the 90's. Currently I own Battlefield 1942, 2142, Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, the Star Wars Series, as well as the Medal of Honor series, among other non fps /multiplayer games bought for my kids, and about 40 other fps games and other game types from various franchises. Translation, I have spent literally thousands on games and gaming rigs both bought and built. Enough to know that I am no longer wasting my money on games that favor Hackers.
The Battlefield 1 game had amazing maps but spending a Premium ( which I have always bought) only to spawn and be killed within steps repeatedly was not something I was interested in. Same issue was in StarWars, while it did improve some, with the Battlefront II, it was right back to hacker city not to mention the micro purchases of which i had no desire to feed.
Playing on Killem & Chillem, we have such great games and amazing times because we actually play the game, the way it was designed and teach others to do the same. Hackers as you know are not welcome and escorted promptly out. To even consider owning another game that will favor the hacker because the anti cheat third party programs will not be available, to me not only would be a waste of my time and money, but simply stupid. It effectively kills the Battlefield franchise as we have come to know and love. Most players are not millennials. Most are serious Battlefield players from way back. killing that Community will cost us all. Programs like "24/7 Fairplay" , "pb Screens", "iStats", and "Metabans" to name a few have been so very helpful are needed and do a great job! Why reinvent the wheel? Yes they were not perfect, but that's why we needed them all.
No One program will have all the information. All are needed to give the complete picture. Even EA's own Battlefield 4 stats couldn't keep up and needs constant refreshing to get the semi-current picture of a player. How a single program like BF4db is going to try to keep up is beyond me. While they have some great guys involved, the sheer size of this community requires a collaboration of all these programs to be effective.
My guess, the only reason to limit anti cheat 3rd party programs, would be to promote the hackers. EA really doesn't understand, control the hacks - sell more games.... MANY MORE games, because there are MANY MANY MORE gamers who want GOOD GAME play than hackers.
And , of course the best way to monitor even more is by allowing Privately controlled ranked servers, that have 3rd Party anti- cheat programs to draw from, like we pay for and have access to now. Taking that away in BATTLEFIELD V is a huge mistake!
I am not spending any more money on games that I can not play and enjoy. Spawn and die, spawn and die, spawn and die,
is NOT fun, and NOT something I will pay for again. EA PLEASE WAKE UP !! THE REAL MONEY LIES WITHIN THE BATTLEFIELD COMMUNITY THAT HAS SUPPORTED THIS SERIES FOR YEARS! we teach the younger to continue the legacy not destroy it.
Multi-player private servers have supported this game series for years. It can only increase!!
Take it away, your game will inevitably die.
FYI in case you EA were not aware... there are several promising games on the horizon that WILL BE giving private servers.
As a hard core Battlefield player for many years, not eager to go elsewhere, but if you don't offer what we have now, then there is no reason to stay. Judging from the many players I have personally spoken with over the past month.... clearly I am not alone in this thought. Now is the time to make this fix... WE are your consumers, we pay you for the games WE like to play, and WE are NOT interested in some game that takes away the uniqueness that has made this game great.
