AA turret / AA truck nerfed to the ground (no point going into a AA turret, unless you want to be a free kill for everyone).
Bullets dmg from sniper / medic nerfed.
Planes darts completly OP now.

It might just take time to adjust, so give it a few days, see how it plays out. It might be too early. Or it might have gone back to BF3 ground-air "balance".

A good pilot will kill someone on an AA turret without any problem post patch. That's non sense.
Only way to counter planes is ... another plane.

Ofc, there are still a lot of newbie pilots that fly low and crash/get killed by tanks/don't pay attention to AA turrets.

what was that about rising to the challenge? you want the game stooped down to your level again?

What challenges is there now for pilots to see who can clock up the the highest K/D.

DICE have broken the game balance wise.
Nobody is going to want to capture any flags at all at this rate.
Well, well done DICE. This game is ruined for the next month or so anyway. I just wish deadrising 4 was out sooner.

My initial reaction is that it will take time for people to adjust now that AA isn't an easy kill. That said, I have rank 10 pilot, mostly in bomber, I will report back when I have a chance to fly with the new AA. Bombers were the only viable craft pre-patch, if fighters and attack planes are actually useful now that AA can't demolish them in 2-3 seconds you might see more aircraft being downed by other aircraft.

I always thought fighters handled fine against AA, while they have lower overall HP, they have much more speed to get them out of AA fire provided that the pilot is aware of the active AA emplacement and pays attention to his flight path.
Attack planes ont he other hand I can understand being useless against AA, as they don't posess the Speed of a fighter, of the HP of a bomber, which means they get knocked out of the sky before they can evade.

Patch hasn't been out 12 hours yet.

Let's see how it plays out.

Also keep in kind - K-bullets now do more damage against planes too, so where one door slightly closes with the AA, it opens up with another method to harm planes.

A good tanker will kill someone in a field gun no problem, a good infantry player will kill someone in a stationary machine gun no problem. Why? Because they are situational tools, not hard counters. You have a full kit and expend no resources by jumping on a stationary gun. You can freely jump on and jump off at will without expending any assets or trading off any functionality, so use that to your advantage.

A good pilot cannot destroy another good pilot easily. A good pilot cannot destroy a mobile AA armored truck easily. These are hard counters, and also require team assets and resources to utilize, not to mention skill and positioning.

A good pilot also cannot easily deal with multiple people engaging it using teamwork, whether it's a combination of stationary/mobile AA, snipers with k-bullets, machine gun fire and other aircraft. Just like with tanks, if the enemy team is incompetent or simply ignores you, you will wreak havoc. If they work together against you, you will be shut down.

That said, it seems like the damage nerf may have been overdone, but I haven't actually played post patch yet. I primarily advocated for raising the threshold for targeted wing, tail or engine damage, as well as reducing the lack of control while taking flak fire that took away any ability to evade once you took a hit. From the patch notes, it doesn't look like they changed that last part at all, so sustained fire may still prevent pilots from evading or changing course as before. Will have to test.

Good pilots already had the ability to take at AA, it now sound like it is easier. Field Guns are a Hard Counter to tanks.

We have Assault for Tanks and 1 Assault can take out a Heavy Tank easily. Stationary HMG every class can take them out. What class is there for Aircraft?

So now the only counter to a good pilot is better pilot. Yeh special balance for planes again.

Yet planes can take out multiple people.

It still hits hard enough that make you peel off if someone is accurate.
The counter to attacks / bombers pounding you is the fighter. Get in it and get them of your teams back.
They are easy prey with the fighters handling. Then guess what?
They'll put up a fighter against you taking an attack / bomber out of the equation.
The air combat can now exist as it should and if your team choose not to get a fighter in the air then it's your problem guys.

Why? When was the First nerf AA thread was posted?
How close to an Aircraft do I need to be to use K bullets?
The also closed the door for BA and SLR too?

Coming from the main proponent for an AA nerf, K bullets are pretty useless at taking planes out, it's not really another door, it's gone from being able to kill planes to mildly annoying them

AA guns were a bit OP before against planes, though as usual DICE may have swung too far in the other direction while "fixing" it.

Does the AA nerf also apply against the behemoth airship?
