What performance is everyone getting with there Rx 480 's in DX 11 and DX12

I am playing in 1080p in ultra
I get 30 to 40 in DX 11 (thats with crossfire enabled and disabled)
In DX12 I get 75 to 95 (using only one GPU enabled as even with crossfire on dx12 only uses one)

my specs are
6700k at 4.4
16gb ram
and 2 x rx480 8gb

I'm getting 70-75 constantly. Ultra(2560^1080 ultrawide) settings, Dx 11. Single GPU.

something is wrong with your system i got above 60,100 fps depends on situation mixed ultra and high setting i5 4690,rx 470 8gb,16gb ram...or disable crossfire maybe thats the problem..playing in dx11 since dx12 is a stutter fest for me..

I run 1080p at medium settings with fps limited to 65. Unless alot is happening on screen or a background process steals cpu time it stays 60-65fps. My pc is cpu limited in bf1 and the rx480 is not maxed out. Limiting fps stops my cpu running at 100% all the time and also stops wild fluctuations in fps from over a hundred to 40ish at worst.

30-40fps is obscene with your system even in dx11 . I use dx11 worse cpu win 7 which people say is worse and still destroy that with everything ultra HBAO on and TAA 120%res scale . That can't be right never looked at amd cards what's he RX480 equivalent to in nvidia ?

Depends on where you use it but generally better than a 1060 but not a 1070.

Definatly should be able at the very least to maintain a very solid 60fps at full ultra preset 1080p I'd expect your setup to push 90-100+fps with maybe drops to 70's not 30-40 that's i3 figures.

Definitely not hardware related though as just finished playing and dx12 is smooth and was averaging 90 fps upwards sometimes popping over 100 fps. That's with the new radeon driver. Can't work out why dx11 is so low though crossfire or not. So has to be something software related.

Strange that is im sure quite alot of folk can't run dx12 as it's not working correctly for them but if your getting a smooth experience with it stuck with what's working .

    i5 4670 3.4ghz
    16gb DDR3 1600
    RX480 Gaming X 8gb
    Win10
    DX11
    1920x1080

I run the game at Ultra with 125% res. scale and FPS locked to 60. Like others are saying, there is something in your machine which is not working properly.

DX12 is a choppy mess for the first three minutes it is running, then calms down and stutters only on occasion. DX11 is smooth and really the only choice that most of us have.

specs in sig. Ultra settings, resolution scale is 120 or 125. Think I have fps capped at 70, and is generally always in 65-70 range. Primary game mode is 64p conquest or operations. No issues on any given map. DX11, though have not tried DX12 for a while. Was dx12 at launch, but switching to dx11 alleviated my game freeze when quitting after one of the fall patches, and just have not changed it back.

Still running older video driver, also in sig. Figure if I'm not having issues don't muck around with it.

Would check my actual settings, but pc is currently about 650 miles away :)

My solution for limiting stuttering and increase minimum fps with minimum amount of fps dips below 100fps (important for 144hz gamers) in dx12 at 1080p ULTRA was to overclock all (CPU+GPU+RAM), to add more RAM for total of 16gb and to get as fast RAM as possible!! DX11 use less ram than dx12 for some reason...

    I7 6700k @4500 Mhz
16gb ddr4 @3466mhz (this is the limit of my MOBO) Gygabite Z170
    R9 Fury NITRO @1100Mhz | HMB @540Mhz

NOTE: It is EXTREMELY important to have as fast as possible RAM memory paired with CPU OC...going from i7 6700k stock with 8gb DDR4 2133 and R9 Fury NITRO stock to specs above, i've gained 5-7% in average FPS and 15+% !!!!!!!!! at minimum FPS

Using of 16gb DDR4 instead of 8gb ddr4 will give 3-4 fps maximum if you can get over 100fps in this game. That is not much, but you will also get 3-4 fps on minimum side...If you have slower GPU you will see no difference due to proportion

    - Before @1080p ULTRA - 64 Conquest multiplayer - 75 - 120

    - After @1080 ULTRA - 64 Conquest mitiplayer - 90 - 130

With SSAO instead of HBAO i've gained additional 5-7% more FPS with almost 0 visual downgrade. I know that NEXUS said that going from NVIDIA HBAO to SSAO for AMD gpus in Battlefield 1 is marginal gain, and that AMD users can use Nvidia tech - HBAO in Battlefield 1, but 7% on 1080p 144hz is a lot for me, especialy on minimum FPS side. So my fps is now more like

    - With SSAO @1080p ULTRA | CPU +GPU + RAM overclocked - 64 Conquest mutiplayer - 95 - 135 FPS

NOTE: this is for AMD users and DX12 gaming....Only for 1080p gaming and tested with latest Relive drivers 17.1.1.
Also in order to get proportional more FPS you need to have fast GPU...Heavy OC GTX 980, GTX 1060, RX 480, r9 390X, R9 Fury, R9 Fury X, Gtx 980Ti and above is needed.
15% of performance gained at 60fps average is only 9FPS for average of 69fps....15% gained at 115 fps average is 26 FPS for average of 141fps...

Battlefield 1 will eat your hardware and use all that you have in your machine, but you can get nice performance if you squeeze all possible performance from your hardware

    I5 6500 and rx480 8gb 8gb ddr4 2400mhz. Getting 60 to 85 fps on ultra settings at 1080p. Haven't tried dx11 as dx12 is working fine for me. Playing on my 55 inch curved samsung 4k tv.
