Server keeps reverting to status "Pending" and it's not visible to players

    My belief, it is EA's server provider, virtual rather then real dedicated. And they allow them to "sleep" instead of always up.

    No, I don't mind if unused servers are put to sleep - that just makes sense.
    What ALSO needs to happen is that sleeping servers still get listed, and when someone tries to join them, they need to wake up and provide service again.

    Not entirely sure that's possible. The point is to take the server offline to save energy and resources. If it's asleep, then I'm not sure how it would show up as active in the browser.

    It's very do-able. Things like Amazon Web Services do stuff like this all the time - they can spin up and shut down servers, both physical and virtual, based on need\load. There's no reason why all rented servers can't show up in listings. Heck, I don't even mind if they SAY pending in the listing. Just SHOW THEM... and then spin up that server instance when someone starts the join process.

    Since the service is not provided, still, I will be doing a chargeback on my credit card.

    I wouldn't that will lead to an origin lock and youll lose everything. Contact support and ask for a refund

    Its gotten to the point with my server now that if I don't camp it, it will turn off within minutes. Even camping it, it will kick/disconnect me and then turn off. LOL. I also notice that no matter how creative the search on Battlefieldtracker.com, my server will not show up even though it's online.

    Posted message on Reddit BF1 CTE asking if Custom servers will be showing back up in the default browser, so far the Devs have ignored it. Unlike multiple other threads they've responded to that was posted around the same time. The failure to provide a response like 'we're working on it' tells me it isn't going to happen.

    That's wonderful and all, But still, It is EA customer support that you need to be speaking to about this.

    Posting all of the info between you and customer services here isn't going to get the issue resolved as none of us have the ability to go into your account and attempt to rectify whatever is causing your issues.

    It looks to me as if the point of those chats is to show that, not only is support seemingly unaware of the problem, but also that they seem pretty clueless about what to do about it. This is NOT just a problem with HIS account, as far as I can tell, many, many servers (no way to get a count) are affected. It essemtially means that if the server owner (and only the server owner, since EA never let us designate co-admins) has to be around to wake up his\her server or nobody can see it in their favorites (or anywhere else) and play on it.

    ** There are a number of broader issues here... not just this newest, epic fail at providing custom servers, but also a continuation of the silence\lack of communication that any good\responsible business SHOULD maintain to keep faith with its customers.

    The silence is DEAFENING!

    I'm not as upset as some are on here, but I will say this - if BF2018's servers are managed anything like BF1's servers, I am going to break my tradition of buying and playing all EA\Battlefield games in the future.

    Let me see if I can try to find an EA employee to look into this as it is troubling that this is happening with no resolve.
