My name is Rodders and I’m a Game Designer here at DICE working on the Daily Orders and Assignments feature in BFV. In BFV we want to reward you for playing the objective, so we have Daily Orders which are short, easy tasks you can complete every day; and we have Special Assignments, medium to long challenges that should take some effort to complete.
We'd like to hear your thoughts on the Assignments. Which ones do you find frustrating? What could make them better? Is the risk worth the reward?

Yeah, we'll be looking at tweaking some of the numbers on the dailies. 500 is a bit high, especially with an incendiary grenade.
We're definitely aware of the frustration of not being able to change your Special Assignments while you're in-game. I can't say when, but we're going to try to fix that. The dailies and assignments have a pop-up that should slide out above your mini-map, let me know if that's still not clear for letting you know you're making progress on your tasks.
Melee challenge - Get 3 melee kills without leaving an objective
Explosive Assault challenge - kill 10 tanks with dynamite or at mines
Shotgun proficiency challenge - not difficult, but you can receive this assignment before you have any shotgun (currently only one available) unlocked
I feel it may be beneficial to put the difficult and luck based ones into "achievements" like in bf4, as otherwise, people will likely either just skip over these, or resort to boosting to accomplish, similar to what happened during the BF1 "destroy 100 vehicles in 2 days" challenge.
Plenty of times in this beta already ibe completed them but because I haven't quit the game and reselected another few I miss out on potentially completion of others.
Slight tweaking and fixes of the assignments (e.g. Sten proficiency II requires either 5 kills or 30 kills in one life but it works the other way as it intended of 30 kills or 5 kills in one life)
Other than that the service assignments seem alright; the rewards are decent from company coins to select tier cosmetics and harder challenges

Daily tasks are good and work well. Slight tweaking and fixes of what can actually be daily tasks would go along way. E.g. 80% of the week's worth of tasks should be team orinated such as resupply/heal/revive etc as opposed to deal x damage with x etc.
My thoughts are that I enjoy this sentiment.
Please do not create tasks like the stupid things in BF1 that required people to spend entire rounds totally disconnected from the game.
Now, I absolutely love to melee, but forcing me to stay in one spot is a tall order. Being able to freely move around the map is more preferable.
As far as some of the harder assignments go, 30+ kills in one life is way too much with the TTK and nearly invisible soldiers due to camo the way they currently stand. Don't get me wrong, I love a challenge and can rack up the kills with little to no effort, but a completionist (and especially a casual) might take to some form of boosting if they can't use a vehicle.
Overall though they are good, just need the odd tweak.
Capturing/defending objectives, killing enemies, healing/resupplying teammates, or even damaging tanks with TNT/Panzerfausts, these are all tasks that you have full control on and you can actively do them without much frustration, but things like destroying tanks with mines or taking out planes with LMGs, these challenges are often a source of frustration because you aren't in complete control of them.
My opinon is rather positive than negative. The only thing that bother me is weapon assignments. They are so repetitive and boring. I've got IV level assignment on Gewehr so far and I'm tired of it already. It costs me nothing to complete it but still...
Also, as far as I understand, the rewards are in-game currency or another assignment instead of new weapon or new shiny dogtag. And since we need a lot of currency for buying and upgrading, you expect from us completing a huge amount of assignments. I am afraid that the game would start to offer already completed assignments. Sorry but that's not what I want to see in this game.

What about killing 25 tanks with AT mines in BF4? Or painting 25 vehicles? I mean, it's OK for me to have such assignments. 10 kills is just a lot for a daily order.
1) Headshot 10 enemies in a round from Rifles Challenge - slightly over the top. 5 (like in BF1) would probably work, even though headshots certainly became easier with the increase in head hitbox size. Maybe 7-8, tops.
2) Melee kill 3 enemies without leaving the combat area from Melee Challenge - my least favorite one by a mile. Getting 3 melee kills in a life already is an extreme task in current build. Getting all 3 while staying on the same flag would require a borderline miracle.
If I had to actually have complaints, most of them are related to how assignments are displayed - getting info on assignment mid-match is basically impossible, end of round screen doesn't display the 4th assignment and the assignment screen in the menu has all the tasks mixed up quite randomly (would it be possible to divide them into groups?), which can be quite overwhelming when you unlock all the new assignments in early hours. I am not a big fan of being limited to 4 assignments at a time either, considering that is enforces smaller variety of playstyles during sessions and generally tends to slow things down.
Overall I think you've done a great job on them. They're certainly achievable for the average gamer but I echo what was said above in that they should be accessible during a round. If that cant be achieved then the next assignment on the list should auto fill the completed assignments spot.
I'm sure we'll see at launch but will medals work like this (if they're in the game)?
Last one assignment is WIN 1x Grand operation. Ok chance to win in this mode on attacker side is 1%. I play this mode 20+ hrs.
Only 1x play on other side defender and we won. Why is dog tag still locked???

Love the assignments and rewards. I am hoping for more rewards (dog tags) from assignments.
I like the system all ready, particularly the Daily Orders. So my criticisms are only focussed on the Special Assignments.
First off I would like to say having them is good, but they never seem to end, I have netted over 25k credits/warbonds since the start, over 20 assignments and I am now getting repeat ones such as the conquest and grand operation assignments as well as profeciency and mastery STG44 assignments at the same time too. A suggestion maybe if these are supposed to be like this, is to perhaps have these act like the Daily Orders. In the sense that they are passively activated and tracked. Then have more challenging, specific assignments needing to be tracked.
I am a completionist at heart so I want to do everything and everything well. So doing the same thing over and over as well as new tasks cropping up everytime I load in is a bit daunting.
Quick question if I may, how many Special Assignments are there?
Apart from that, one potential bug I noticed was that I cant add a new assignment in the game but this could be a feature I am unaware of.
