Are my settings on par with regulation of fair play?

Hey Battlefield fans. My computer rig is quite old and as I tend to be quite competitive in game i usually sacrifice eye candy for stability and low input lag. Here is me tinkering with the graphics to achieve a "barebone" look. I've removed much of the clutter, foil and unnecessary extras that love to devour my FPS.

In the second screenshot, as you can see, i have removed this annoying "black mold" on the sniper scope, allowing me to actually focus on my target(s).

I just wanted to make sure i'm not breaking any rules here, modifying the gaming experience to my liking.
Have a good evening everyone!

if you are modifying game files, you're playing with fire.

I could see you getting banned for it to be honest, those settings give you an advantage.

@parkingbrake Nothing like that. Just tinkering with Nvidia drivers.

@LuringPoppy Not sure mate. There is more visual clarity nearby in exchange for more distorted view afar, i.e not all objects are visible and some graphical artifacts are present.

If you did not edit any game files, you are good to go. If you did, a ban could indeed come your way. It sure looks like BF2.

Could you post a screenshot of how the maps with alot of vegetation look for you? I.E. ARRAS ? If those settings mean that you don't see the high grass, thus letting you see players lying in the grass that you'd otherwise not see, then I'd say you have an unfair advantage. Otherwise, i don't see the problem with it.

Back in BF1942 i used to edit the graphics detail through console commands "renderer.mipmapbias 14/-14" would either add more or remove all texture to building and sturctures/players, similar to what you are showing right now. Made it a heck of alot easier to see people :)

The EULA does state that you agree not to "Modify any file or any other part of the EA Service that EA does not specifically authorize you to modify" so you could possibly have an issue there. I don't know if that would definitely be the case but thought it was worth mentioning still.

@Mystriall Sure thing. I've chosen Twisted Steel here due to massive amount of clutter.

i believe you, and as long as it's the Nvidia drivers and not the game that you are tinkering with, then i would assume it's all fine.

imo, this feels like you're entering a hamburger eating contest, alright ?

But, you're telling people : "is it ok if I just eat the salad ?"

Obviously you're going to win... But it's cheating.

Yeah you've removed way too much of the cover there, it would be way easier to see players, so I'd classify it as cheating.

That looks like cheating to me. You basically removed all the vegetation on the map lol.

Post a few screenshots of your settings, it looks like an unfair advantage to me tbh.

    That can't be allowed!
Someone creeping about thinking they're covered and you just see them clear as day.

what commands do you use to make it like that? I crash mid game some times and could use the setting you have. Do you have anyproblems when you shoot at people with those settings? Like for you it looks like they out of cover, but for them it look like they behind something, you could be shooting at them and not hitting.

If it's not game files, then how can it be cheating?
