This Thread is for those who wanted Hardcore. We can use this thread to discuss which weapons / class etc. are more dominate then others. Please feel free to share your opinions.

Edit: If you're looking for the new TTK you should play Regular Conquest.
"The studio is providing a new playlist called Conquest Core for those who prefer the current damage model."

I played my first game of Conquest Core thinking it was "Hardcore", and everyone in the chat was confused.. We are all pointing at the statement dice left us "This is just the beginning of Hardcore" I feel like they are slowly implementing changes because they don't know what will flow smoothly. I tested snipers rifles, and they are still 2 shot kills. SMG's are around 9 shots? LMG kinda feels the same but the VGO feels like an easy kill. Shotguns are still weak as well. Im not sure about other weapons so share you experiences to help others dominate the playing field.

They clearly stated in the post about it, that Core is just the game as it was 1 day ago, with the 'old' TTK. That's it. So I'm not sure why you expected differently.

LMAO is there really only 3 Core NA servers, and you have to search for "core" to find them? They are clearly moving forward with new TTK and abandoning old TTK.

I didn't see their post.. but why claim its the start of Hardcore? Did they verify that too? Because obviously there is a fair amount of players requesting it so my play with my emotions?

For anyone that hasn't read this.

"After much deliberation, DICE has announced that Battlefield 5’s TTK is changing today.

In a follow-up post, the developer explained exactly how this is going to work for Battlefield 5 players, and how the new damage model will affect the different weapon classes.

For starters, DICE plans to make these changes available to all players today in the regular Conquest playlist. The existing TTK model will instead be moved to a new playlist dubbed Conquest Core. It seems this will be used as a basis for the inevitable launch of hardcore mode. In other words, you’re going to have to go a bit out of your way to play with the current values.

As far as the damage model, the developer confirmed that headshot multipliers are not changing for any of the weapons. Instead, all other damage values are being adjusted for the majority of weapons. The goal is to add a little bit of survivability in firefights to cut down on frustrating cases where players are dying too fast.

As a result of the lower maximum damage, it’ll take players one extra shot to kill using most weapons, and this is especially true at range.

DICE shared an overview of how the new TTK values hit each weapon class in a concise image, which we’ve embedded above. Bolt action rifles, and shotguns firing buckshot have not been changed.

Shot multipliers for all parts except the head have dropped to 0.85x for everything else, down from 1x, with the exception of self-loading rifles which dropped from 0.8x.

This should bring the TTK more in line with the updated Battlefield 1 values, and certainly makes it a bit slower than Battlefield 3. DICE noted that this isn’t set in stone, and asked players to jump back and forth between the two models to get a better feel for the changes.

"DICE will make the first adjustments to Time to Kill and Time to Death in Battlefield 5 starting tomorrow.

Battlefield 5 players will notice the first changes to damage models in the game tomorrow, according to DICE.

The developer said it will be making some changes to Time to Kill (TTK) and Time to Death (TTD), and future improvements are in the works for TTD.

These changes will “directly impact” TTK across the game to “ensure a more even gameplay experience” for all players. These changes will roll out globally across all servers starting on Wednesday, December 12.

Since both TTK and TTD are closely intertwined, the TTD improvements in an upcoming patch will touch upon netcode, damage and health feedback, and more.

On top of this, the studio is providing a new playlist called Conquest Core for those who prefer the current damage model.

“We also recognize that a highly engaged portion of our community prefers the current damage model as it is,” said DICE in the announcement. “To account for this, we have set up a new server playlist called “Conquest Core”. This will be live tomorrow as well.

“Please use this new playlist when comparing the two models as your feedback on both is instrumental in helping us improve Battlefield 5’s gameplay experience.”

DICE said the new playlist will evolve over time and is “the first step” toward a traditional Hardcore experience for Battlefield players.

Update notes will be provided tomorrow."

It's over. If you're either a hardcore enthusiast or prefer to play on private servers, it's time to admit the BF you've known and loved is dead.

Basically this. From my experience with doing video editing and other things that provide enjoyment to others.. Don't over do it.. and don't try to make people happy. People will either like it or they don't. DICE has lost their way in regards to intense war games and maybe EA is to blame, but I keep tricking myself into thinking DICE will finally grow a pair and make a game that keeps me awake until 4 am with my adrenaline pulsating through my vain's (**Cough** Bad Company 2). I can only hope all this negativity will break them back down to basics.

You wanted hardcore and they gave you this new softcore TTK, I actually don't think it was DICE's decision but EA's as the sales have been underwhelming. Attract the casuals and screw the core community (the core is the only thing that can keep this game alive).

I think the BF franchise has gone to hell in a hand basket!

Folks, if you're a Hardcore enthusiast like me, you have to check out Insurgency Sandstorm which just released today. I'd never played the beta nor the first installment in the series but after about an hour I can tell I'm going to love it. Hardcore on top of Hardcore. No huds, no minimaps, no RED doritos, no BS crutches. You dump the mag, you dump the mag, just like it should be. You hit somebody, they go DOWN. No bullet sponge nonsense. Check it out!!

No minimap, 1-2 hit kills. I don’t see why it was too hard to include a few servers of hardcore...

I want the BF3-style hardcore back. Simply put, 60% health, Friendly Fire, No minimap... It doesn't need to get anymore complicated than that.

The original BFV nubcore wasn't even hardcore, it was still the same bullet sponge nonsense with all the extra crutches the kiddies love.
Learn to aim, it only takes one extra bullet, on some weapons.
