There is no reason to play anyone but Assault and Support.

Teams are always carried by Assault players, they can do absolutely everything - CQC, Anti-tank, counter-sniper, explosives. Supports are less useful Assaults, no proper offensive anti-tank, worse guns. Recons are bio mass to be killed for frags, medics are so narrowly useful that nobody plays them anymore. Nobody waits for revives because simply respawning is just easier and gives you tactical advantage of going around instead of re-appearing in a mess to be killed by prone firing player again. Nobody needs recons doing 6.5 kills a match, they're just throwaway class. This game is Assaults and Supports only. Discuss.

"Supports are less useful than Assault and worse guns".....

Nah you got that wrong bud. What you on? Support have more bad guns than the Assault? Nah. Supports have a wider array of weapons and can play pratically at any range. Stop buggin.

Did you have a bad game? Who hurt you today? "No one waits for revives" ? Why are you saying silly things?

Yes, class balance is very bad. This has already been stated by many players.

It's not that false. When I play Medic, even if I use Q to notify a guy at 3 meters who is safe to be revived, he'll skip. Same for squadmates when I'm not Medic.
Assault rifles can actually play at any range but each of them, do not need to swap weapon to change your range.

Assault is clearly the most used class in this game. As it is easy to use and OP, and players are now all about K/D...

Supports have a wider array? Are you serious?
The only weapons that are better at close range are shotguns, the rest of the support weapons are outclassed by semi autos at long ranges and the full autos at mid/close ranges.
Even MMG's are outclassed because of the horrid hitreg

I agree... if they give the medics a buff... it'd defacto buff tankers...

M1A1. Nulls every weapon in the game, including any machinegun and sniper rifle. Assaults outclass Supports in every possible way. Who cares about you shooting your peas with bipod when you can get lased back by G43 or M1A1.

The assault class is laughably broken. Support is in a better place from an overall balance perspective. Their weapons are still really strong, but they aren't laughably broken like the assault is. There really isn't a reason to play any class but assault and as result gameplay suffers. Until DICE lets go of the raging boner they have for the assault class the game will continue to suffer.

I would love to play one match without a single assault player. Just to see how it would play out.

Assault has arguably the best and most diverse range of weapons in the game right now; with semi-automatic rifles that are accurate and dangerous at longer ranges (40-60 meters) and assault rifles with rates of fires that rival SMG's and more accurate and have the flexibility of changing firing modes... With the ability to revive squad mates, life is pretty good for the Assault player.

Assault has a slight advantage over the other classes in getting a higher rate of frags (probably due to being most effective against vehicles while no worse for infantry) but it can't outscore an equally skiled medic on most maps, nor does it have the team utility of Support in being able to also frag everything pretty effectively, but also provide ammo/repairs/stationaries.

No reason to play Recon, though. Put down a spawn beacon and you can then suicide and play a more useful class

Assault has a huge advantage over every other class when it comes to frags, let's not kid ourselves. Best weapons, best gadgets and best combat role.

But I do agree that medic outscores every other class in points when played how it's designed.

Nah, Medics carry the team, because they deliver the only thing needed in this game, boots in the objective area. In this objective area they are also decently outfitted. For personal use the Support and Assault bring a better package to the table, but the Assault has a slight advantage by having only weapons that are easy to use and powerful at all ranges while also being able to play a bigger role in vehicle combat, which adds to their team value.
The support has a wide array of weapons, that are harder to use (shotguns, MMGs) and LMGs that suffer from certain minor drawbacks (mag sizes, low ROF). Their team value is diminished by the readily available supply stations, the existence of the pouch and the rather low effectiveness of the support crate.

Depends on one's definition of "huge". Seems to be a couple tenths of a point higher in K/D and KPM average for most players. IMO that's not really a problem in a pub setting (might be for comp).

And given it has no utility function aside from killing (other than destroying enemy vehicles but Support does that too), an advantage there is more or less reasonable as it has to make up the points somewhere.

Recon is really the only gimp class that's far behind the curve. It has no power vs vehicles and less power vs infantry than all other classes. Meanwhile its team function of spotting doesn't bring the utility or point haul to keep up with the Medic/Support ones.

Support is definitely the most fun class, hands down. You basically get better assualt rifles, shotguns, or portable stationary MGs to play with. Plus infinite ammo. Plus limited AT capabilities.

The only time I switch, is for Recon DMRs, which are OP if you can aim (less spamy, more raw power), or when I want to have no one on my team die as Medic (and cloud the battlefield in smoke)

    Assault? What Assault.
