i have a r7 2700x with a 2080 rtx
i play at 1440p all settings on max

according to this
https://www.techspot.com/review/1754-battlefield-5-cpu-multiplayer-bench/

i should be getting 93fps average and 61 fps min with dx11 no rtx
i get 60fps average variable min with or without rtx in dx 12 mode

is dx12 likely to be the issue here or is something wrong with my pc

Make sure Future Frame Render is on, it kills FPS with it off.

why do you believe that you should be getting that? when the core game was written neither your cpu or gpu were out. Just to give you an example here, my first gen 930 and only 1 980ti does better then that. Don't believe the benchmarks... I like running it at 4k at an average of 85 fps all low taa high, Again thats on 1 980ti and a first gen intel chip. but nice rig i must say....

The display setting at [email protected] in-game with vsync enabled might limit your fps to 60
DX11 FFR should be enabled with NVCP max pre-render set to 3.
If you want raytracing, you'll have to enable DX12.
