Mark my words I'm telling you exactly what's going to happen if hardcore in Battlefield V is not implemented all the people who want hardcore are going to leave Battlefield and go to Insurgency Sandstorm when it hits consoles and you're going to lose out on revenue. If you don't know what Insurgency Sandstorm is check it out only way DICE or EA is going to care about implementing a hardcore game mode is when they realize they're going to be losing revenue, and by the time they realize they should have implemented this it's going to be too late people are going to have already said **** Battlefield and they aren't coming back. So DICE and EA the balls in your court and it's in your best interest to get ahead of this before it smacks you in your face. Let's make sure they see this post VOTE IT UP SO THEY CAN SEE JUST HOW MUCH REVENUE THEY'RE GOING TO LOSE. I'LL BE LEAVING WHEN INSURGENCY COMES OUT IF HARDCORE IS NOT IMPLEMENTED.

Wait this game has none of the things call of duty has and somehow it’s call of duty? Cod has specialists that get fancy stuff to kill people with, kill streaks, a higher ttk, small 6v6 modes etc. the 2 are nothing alike and your post was as vague as vague can be leaving me to believe you don’t have an actual reason as to why “muh bfv=cod”

I F***ing hate this game so much because of this BS take a clip to kill someone! Why doesn't EA ever listen to the players?

Isn't it obvious? EA hates their players, that's what I get out of them for ignoring everyone's request for hardcore mode. We get a stupid update for panzerstorm map, but still need to put 10 bullets in someone to kill them. They really dropped the ball

Same here. I will occasionally load it just to see if there is one but after a few ridiculous rounds I go somewhere else. Arcade madness!

I find it rather odd that they (DICE) are putting in all this effort to make new maps and game modes, weapons and other cosmetic content, but can't seem to put out a simple game mode that is essentially more damage. If there's any extra code to be written such as creating header's and UI content is understandable, but a lot would be just changing variables here and there to existing code I would think since I know several different programming languages myself. You would think that hardcore would've came with the game but that's the trend nowadays from developers pushing out unfinished games. I'm not saying that it's DICE's fault, as EA is over them and controls what reaches consumers hands. As I've stated in other threads, I often find myself going back to BF4 HC mode to get that satisfaction of pumping some rounds especially like from a pistol and with well placed shots being able to take down multiple people, or that my one grenade is a force to be extremely cautious about.

Another user compared it to water balloons and that's very true it feels like water guns and water balloons, tickling other players while they still charge through the chaos like a hoard of zombies. Even when calling on sector artillary I see whole team just standing there still capturing the point, barely affected by what's happening. It makes it to where only the JB-2 rocket is really the only thing effective when it comes to squad points but then again though the damage is there it feels like spash diameter isn't. There's so much to this game that needs tweaking or implemented, but its like constantly I see companies fixing game breaking things for the most part, but then moving on to pushing out dlc with out tweaking and perfecting core components of the game especially when they were able to perfect such things in previous titles. It seems like with ever new Battlefield title is like they have to start over completely from scratch and aren't taking what they learned in previous games. One thing that really is annoying is the fact that I don't spawn with full ammo, there's always that one clip that you need to go get before heading out and trying to take another objective, especially in conquest mode. Another thing is total destruction, or at least levelution, and things like me not being able to shoot through a leaf or a small bush or thin wood, where games like Bad Company did this sooo well and even older games like Red Faction. Eh I could go on but I'll stop it at that.

+1 for really wanting a hardcore mode! I've been playing BF since the good ole' BF2 days. I stopped playing BF1 and went back to playing BF4. I only purchased BFV cause it was on sale, and while I think the game is beautiful and does so many new things that create an amazing experience, I can't help but feel that BF4 is still a better game, and in part because there is no hardcore mode option for BFV or custom servers. I really hope these are added into the game, because they were definitely nice options to have in the past.

BF1 was altogether terrible, and a perversion of the Battlefield model. Even though they included HC mode, despite the variations of its game parameters, it wasnt enough to save the game experience. The weapon system was completely ruined by forcing you to choose between a few choices of weapon attachments for a particular weapon. You may have gotten the gun you wanted with the scope you wanted but maybe not with the grip or the bipod or vice versa. Plus the whole money system was another way to jump into the microtransaction craze which is ruining games as we know it. Hardcore mode is the only way I play Battlefield... because no matter how you may feel about regular mode, hardcore mode forces you to sharpen your skills and reflexes, raise your awareness of your surroundings, and utilize an ever-changing environment to shape your tactics in order to stay alive and get the kill. In regular mode if you screw up and get shot a few times you can slink off and reheal and jump back into the fight... whereas hardcore players like the intense high risk gameplay, where you are forced to think more critically because you don't get a second chance. And some people argue oh it just gives players the ability to spray and pray and get kills, but that's one of the beauty things about hardcore mode- the realism that it offers. because people do spray and pray in real Combat, and it does get kills and it does cause suppression because people don't want to get hit by one of those bullets. Hardcore mode is for the type of people that are into that intense, Fast-paced, on the Fly combat which forces you to develop tactics at a moment's notice and try to overcome an opponent's tactics and get the first shot on them before they get you.
One of the things that set Battlefield apart from games like Call of Duty is their dedication to realism and personal choice. Hardcore mode gives players that realism that has been lost with other first person shooters. Unfortunately their last game and Battlefield V have been completely lacking in the customization area. Despite the fact that they had some monumental absences in weapons and vehicles, like not including the M1 Garand or BAR or the P-51 Mustang which were all Central weapons to the Allied Forces, the lack of the ability to choose your weapon parts to fine-tune the guns characteristics to how you desire to use that weapon takes away one of the best things about Battlefield. EA is notorious for taking out good features of a game and replacing them with other features instead of keeping good features and adding to them. The weapon loadouts mechanics should be exactly the same as Battlefield 4 but containing World War II era weapons and attachments, and adding to it. Maybe give the option to tailor your clothing to reduce noise at the expense of protection or increasing protection from shrapnel and suppression but slow the movement and add noise. Things like bipods and grips should have been available and altered the weapons characteristics. things like flash hiders were certainly available and should certainly serve to conceal muzzle flash for players sniping from tall grass, and tactical grips should add to CQB control in hip-fire.
EA and Dice need to seriously consider the future of this franchise and return to their traditional gameplay framework, otherwise this will be another failed title. They need to add the weapons that were Central to the conflict which they left out, they need to add to the weapons and gadgets list, add better customization and modifications choices that actually affect weapon characteristics, and they need to put hardcore mode back in for players that specifically play Battlefield because of its realism and demand for higher skill.
and I know people will argue with this, but those are the players that caused this game to get worse instead of better.
And EA should listen to me because most of the things that have been added to GTA online were my ideas (not the flying cars and laser guns), the Hearthfire DLC for Skyrim was because of me and a few other features added to Fallout New Vegas were my ideas as well (worked at Bethesda)...those companies listened to me and their games were better because of it.

People keep wondering this and they don't seem to see the light. Just like their NHL titles and other games I used to play they don't seem to listen to the right people or they just have idiots working for them. They take out good features the people loved and replace it with something else that they want to try instead of leaving what is loved and adding features alongside it.

Games need to evolve they need to get bigger more dynamic otherwise they just keep making the same games over and over. Evolution means more interactivity more immersion more Choice more freedom more realism the ability to shoot through a wall to blow up a bridge or tunnel under the building with C4... always add to what is good and increase Choice, never replace or reformulate.

My theory is that there is no hardcore because it will make selling gear more pointless. Just heard you can now buy stuff with real money in game, so prob won't be any hardcore mode at all. So glad I got this game for free...
