Player Movement and 60% movement bonus while aiming

Quick question to see if its just me or not;

But does it feel like to anyone that player movement in this game seems to be basically born of the matrix?

You aim directly at someone, the chances of it missing in any other game or hell even when shooting with an actual gun would be infinitesimally small and yet...they just spam A and D with + 60% movement speed while aiming and just completely dodge a shot that SHOULD hit them.

Am I the only one who feels like that perk is the most ridiculous specialisation to ever be in a Battlefield title? (It does actually remind me of CoD on some level)

I am also wondering if people feel like bullet velocity of a lot of the weapons in this game barring assault weapons feels really, really slow...because it feels like that too me and I am starting to wonder if both the specialisation and bullet velocity are a connected issue.

what do you guys think? and Should the 60% Movement speed while aiming specialisation be removed?

    Yea this is the single most offender of ADAD spam and the reason you see so much Quakeesque movement. Also this is not some SMG trait where it makes sense, but many of the most ergonomically awful weapons have it.
    I've said it since release, the spec has no place in a WWII BF game. It is also much more pronounced than the BF3+4 bullpup ADS movement bonus and they suffered from worse base spread because the formula was dependent on movement speed. The spec in BFV is only positive.

    its because you are very bad at the game and cant aim that you miss your shots, when someones uses ADAD the skilled necesarry to have is called tracking , if you are bad at tracking an enemy player you will die and miss your shots. Get better at aiming.

    The ADAD spam combined with guns that have little to no recoil and no sway means

    1. stupidly low TTD (many people find this frustrating)
    2. elimination of deep gunplay like we were used to in BF4 and BF1
    3. most firefights end in <1 second

    DICE failed big on BF5 imo.

    deep gunplay hahahaaha nice word that means absolutely nothing

    I think it was possibly an oversight where they were like 'oh let's put this on some offensive weapons, so that you can still be aimed whilst advancing and not be too slow' but didn't consider that actually it's going to apply for side-to-side movement as well. I think the best option would just be to have some sort of algorithm where repetitive ADAD movement quite significantly reduces accuracy, and possibly remove this spec from any weapons that aren't either automatic or fast-firing semi-autos, and apply the movement accuracy penalty as well.

    Uhm, wouldn’t the AD spam, the ability to “dodge” bullets OP is complaining about, in fact INCREASE the TTD? Like it, or not, but if you were less agile, you would get hit more, and the TTD would be even faster.

    Have fun with the cod-clone called BF5. BFV has boring gunplay.

    Close quarter movement has always been bad in Battlefield, at least on Playstation, it was the same in BF3, in BF1 it was better except for the assault class, but back to it's erratic best in BFV.

    DICE thought adding a Call of Duty perk (stalker perk/stock gun attachment) would translate well into BF. No, it does not. It's stupid. There's no reason why a guy holding a rifle should be able to move faster side to side while aiming down their sight because he purchased a gun upgrade. It's silly. Maybe in a more arcadey game like CoD it make sense but not BF, IMO.

    I think the whole perk system is really bad in BFV. The perk system earned by squadscore from BF4 worked alot better, and even that wasnt all perfect but at least it didnt give you so much BS cheese like in this game.

    The speed, low momentum and movement animations all make a really unpredictable experience. Even just moving forward, player models appear to waddle from side to side. Players can stop and change direction on dime with no momentum to carry them forward or slow them down. You throw in perks that improve hipfire and aimed movement speed/accuracy and you have a very run and gun game.

    I remember Dice saying they wanted to slow the game down pre-launch but for all their efforts they've somehow made the game a much faster experience.

    I play on PS4 so there's no ADAD, but I have noticed that the 60% speed boost while ADS brings your movement while ADS to the same speed as it is while walking and not ADS. So this means a more consistent feel when transitioning to ADS and moving or following targets by walking in the direction they are walking. That's why I like it.

    ^^^ This... I'll add in stupid slow rounds from the Recon SLR's. Nothing like shooting at the assault guy and watching him literally sidestep your rounds while hosing you down with the M1A1 or any of the other assault classes many OP DMR's.

    The assault weapons are already stupidly potent without even ADADAD spamming.
    Just look at that triple to almost quadruple (the 4rth was an assist) kill from hipfire.

    I wasn't expecting this many people to agree to be honest, I expected a lot of people telling me to get good or something along those lines thats usually the way honest criticism goes these days at least.

    I guess the real question I should ask and I'll edit my thread accordingly; "Should it be removed?"

    The ADAD spam....

    ==
    I've been meaning to ask PC players what this means for a long time... is it "bobbing and weaving" like a boxer? or ducking or what?

    The A and D key strafes the player left and right respectively. BF5 doesn't have any player momentum and with keyboards being a digital input, players can change direction of their character instantly. Pressing AD repeatedly in quick succession allows the player to quickly dart from side to side to mess with the enemy player's aim. Add on BF5's increase in player character animation and you end up with unpredictable firefights.

    This can be done on consoles apparently but I've never played consoles to see to what extent.

    With how boring and defensive this game is the player movement being as quick as it is is about the only thing keeping me playing still.

    I would say the specializations tree should be removed yes. Just the bare weapons "as they are".
    As it is now, it feels forced, not hard to unlock all, and in general I feel I'm not doing much better with those specs enabled.
    I do like the assignments for weapon skins, I like the idea of extra tasks to unlock cosmetics, virtual dogtags sort of speak.
