So variable magnification settings like in BF1?

This needs to be added into BFV. Often times the sight I want to use doesn't have the magnification that I want. Its just another layer of customization that was removed from a game that was sold as a game that is fully customizable :/

I thought about this the other day.
Even in Battlefield 1, a WW1 themed game, we were given more in terms of customising our weapons function, even for sidearms!

Things like not being able to adjust your scope magnification is a step backwards. The Kar98 and that Krog Johnson could be brilliant if you were able to adjust the scope type for longer ranges, instead of putting up with the default x6/ x8 scope. And the RSC and Lee Enfield (in my opinion) would be a lot better if you weren't stuck with the nasty 'T' shaped crosshairs- I can't hit a barn door using them. But it's not just for the Recon class, other class weapons could be a lot better if you were able to change little things like this.

I think the current specialisation tree and what we're stuck with now, is pathetic. It feels like a rushed concept and they've put no real thought into it.

When you actually understood the variant system and used the options, the weapons variety and customisation was great in BF1.

BF5 weapons are yet another case of removing stuff that people liked and adding stuff they didn't ask for.

I would love to see this level of customization in BFV. Zoom magnification and different crosshairs to choose from for snipers was awesome in BF1.

Being a WW2 themed era, there would be plenty of parts to modify on the weapon. Ammunition types, muzzle lengths, grips and stocks. It's such a wasted opportunity and really disappointing that they've been so lazy with this part of the game

    It was awesome for everyone.

They gave a Field of View option, so a somewhat variable zoom on ADS is common sense. It was a fantastic addition to BF1, but, like so many other things, they appear to have removed it, because....? Nope, can't think of a good reason...

    Reply from DICE
“Thank you for yoursuggestions about Recon customizations. Now, we encourage you to go and s*** in one hand and wish into the other hand and eat whichever one fills up first. Bon Appetite!”

I also liked how you didn't have to go to separate screens to change things. Once you loaded the customize screen everything just flowed smoothly. In BFV every time you load a part you have to wait for the game to load the list of the parts. The tilt, rotate, and zoom settings are also much better in BF1 & BF4 then in BFV where the axis for rotation is locked preventing you from even seeing some parts when rotating.

I also noticed that the stat screen is just a complete mess compared to every other BF game.
