BF5 was working fine until I patched today. Since the patch, when I load the game it crashes to desktop with no error. I updated the graphics driver, same thing. I ran a repair (btw, it's prob. faster to uninstall and reinstall) and same thing. What do you recommend to fix my issue?
Thanks for the tip. I'll try this. Same thing happened to me today. I swear DICE have a secret plan to get everyone sick of Battlefield 5 and its problems so they can just move on.
***EDIT***
This didn't fix my problem. Could not be bothered with this game anymore. Not going to delete it just to download it again. Guess its goodbye battlefield.
I am also now having this problem since the update. I had to wait months for one of the patches to fix this problem and now it's back. To say I'm angry would be an understatement!
It crashes for me to, clear cache didnt work... Fuack u DICE. Next patch would be having some evil stuff with it to so.. No i am pissed now, im going back to Bf1 or Insurgency.
I had an issue after updating to latest NVIDIA drivers. Tried all sorts the usual of deleting cache verifying game files etc. Found out it was to do with the new freesync drivers from nvidia as I have a freesync monitor. In bfv I had set the resolution to be 2560 x 1440 x 200MHz. This caused a crash to desktop with no errors. Game would pause then go to desktop. I changed my BFV resolution to 2560 x 1440 144mhz (which is the highest refresh rate of my monitor yours might be different). Been playing for hours now no crash. This may or may not help.
clearing origin cache installing clean set of the new drivers and doing a full re install of the game worked for me thanks for all the help q123we1
running in 2k with rtx on medium and so far not one crash
I tryed the above solution but it did not work. Since this last patch the game is literally unplayable, i crash in every game,
I also removed the Oc on my ram, and did a game repair
Would be interesting to see if we all having something in comon like.
Msi afterburner and reshade.
I know you fixed your game so im asking the ones having issues.
I was experiencing the crash to desktop issue for awhile. Nothing I did was resolving the issue. Repair, uninstall/reinstall, fiddled with Graphics settings. Nothing worked. I tried the suggestion of clearing the Origin cache. I have not had a crash to the desktop since doing that. I don't know how long it will remain this way, but here is the link if anyone wants to give it a try: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
Did you try to remove this windows update yourself? If so did it work.
I look ed quickly last night and did not see it in my list of installed updates. If I looked at it correctly then this means the Windows patch is not the issue. It seems EA is taking the usual approach of placing the blame on our systems instead of their code.

Just got done chatting with support. I am sure they will be sending me the same tired list of things that everyone else has done.
