And no national culture is not monolithic, some less than others. But like stereotypes, they stem from the average perceptions, and will always have some truth to it.

I agree that to fully explore the area, would require much more work tho, yes for sure.

    Then you should know better!

    Tell me what I did?

I simply explained what the poster meant. And know better according to whom?
Are there rules that when something is mentioned, you need to include the complete scope and method used, this is a forum.

But again, what did I do?

I was not the original poster, I just explained and agreed that DICE may very well be influenced by a more feminine culture than non Swedish developers.

    Oh, the horror!

Besides, my ire wasn't directly aimed at you; you didn't introduce the shoddy sociology.

I never understand the vitriol for DICE on this forum, this game costs less than $100 US and people seem to think it ought to be “perfect”. All software has bugs, annoyances, missing features, and crashes - perfect does not exist in anything in this world, especially not in software.

Maybe years ago when consoles all ran on different chipsets.

I know someone who works for them and whenever she tells anyone she usually follows it up with "please don't hate me".

I could care less about the woman characters at this point. I understand some liberties will be taken in these games, and am fine with that.

I just want BF, to be BF and be very good at just BF, like it used to be.

The game should work as well. After you pay for it you should be able to count it working properly, and the way your used to after 4 months.

You should go tell some higher ups at EA that, they might throw you from the roof if you're lucky.

Then I think you are looking at laissez faire attitudes and corporate greed.

That's pretty much what I told her the first time she said it to me. "It's a living. SQUARK!" lol.

Here I am providing actual facts and here you are responding with "lol".
    obvious troll is obvious.

Well Sweden has a Socialist govt. I'm not surprised they apply the same principals to this game. They did remain neutral in the war. Fika time tack.

The whole problem with this reasoning is that DICE sure is Swedish (at least partly) but the decisions are taken by EA which is a company with 'all american' values. Not the slightest socialism in sight there, just the raw capitalism and money grab mentality. Do less for more is the motto. For us who have played since BF1942, it is evident that the more influence that has come from that 'all manly' american side, the worse things has got when it comes to this franchise.

Amen, brother. The money grab with a crappy game that also has bad content is why I said that I believe we are being treated like crap. It seems to be the corporate standard for everything these days.

This has absolutely nothing to do with what I posted. I was commenting on the fact that DICE breaks things in every patch. They fix something and break things that were working fine before, hence "One step forward, two steps back." They also like to "fix" things that weren't broken in the first place.

Who asked for yellow screen and uninterruptable reloads? Literally no one. In fact, players have been complaining about the EXCESSIVE amount of animations.

uninterruptable reload is in there by design? come on now thats just stupid that they added this. in real life a soldier can stop to reload whenever he feels like, why not in battlefield?

please dont RL stuff ..... curs then i have LOT to say ....

And was included in another thread, but I fully believe it needs it's own thread so everyone hopefully sees it. Hopefully EA and Dice see it. Mods, please don't delete.

GGG sums it all up very well, and I'd like to add the terrible maps that there are not enough of to the message. I'm pissed.

    We're being treated like crap.

GGG has a cringing style of making videos. But he's right in what he says through the digestion inducing beats of popular technolounge music with a copy+paste slicked voice-over.

Since around half of the posts in this thread are political and very few seem to be discussing the OP's topic I am closing this thread.
