So CC is basically pointless if you want to purchase something "decent".
Sorry EA, but my money will stay in my wallet. Better luck next time.

Well they had to. The shop was supposed to release in November or December, which means only basic stuff to get with CC. Then the CC bug happened and that meant noone sank their currency into anything for four months, until they fixed it. Player retention is poor and just now players are coming back with Firestorm. So we have people that differ greatly in terms of CC earned. You can only balance that again, by increasing prices and making CC accrual easy, as it is now, and to make a lot of things, at first, premium currency only, so people use their CC up first and DICE can maximize their profits.
There is no way to tell if those "premium only" things will be available through CC purchase later at some point. While I think it's fair to make those "Elite" characters premium only, everything else should be free to buy with in-game currency. Because let's be honest here, some random weapon skin is not worth $10.

I'm yet to get my original €80 worth of content, so why would I want to pay for overpriced, recycled, cosmetics on top of that?

Even if I buy a single decent item for each of my soldiers, i.e. 8 items in total, I'd end up paying as much as I would for the old Premium, yet it is sure is hell not going to provide me with anywhere NEAR the same amount of content (maps) as Premium did. What am I supposed to be - an idiot?

On top of that only ONE outfit looked decent enough to interest me and I would get it for CC, not real money. The rest are meh.

EA has to recoup something after Belgium told them to GTFO with their Ultimate Team Gambling

The people in Belgium that considered lootboxes gambling should be relieved of their duties.

You go to a casino to buy chips and hope to win big.
You buy FIFA points to buy packs to get big players.
    Sounds exactly the same.
You’re guaranteed something in the pack. You’re not at the casino.

You're not guaranteed anything in a pack, If you were, they wouldn't post the odds of getting something.

So, the packs could be completely empty?

So Epic skins are only available with Battlefield Currency, there's a surprise. Makes Company Coins even more pointless than before, no wonder they gave us so many in the retroactive payout.

I'm all for supporting the game but in this case I won't be giving EA / DICE a penny more. A game without a decent anti-cheat, ranks, RSP, team-balancing and dismal lack of content - one new map in 5 months since launch is laughable.

I hope you join me in my boycott, the trust between us and them has never been lower.

Won't spend money (fine, that is your choice) but then bemoans the lack of content.

    Priceless!

Why would I spend money on Epic cosmetics?, and how is this linked to the lack of content - I do not see the correlation.

    Really?

    OK.

I wonder why you have a reputation on here for being a troll

If you can't see the irony in all this then I don't know what to say.

I don't consider cosmetics as content, so no I don't see the irony 😀

Yep... In one paragraph they say that they want all cosmetics to be accessible with company coin earned through gameplay and in another they mention the elite skins being available only with paid battlefield coins. Sigh.
I bet they will have some really cool stuff but take forever to buy with earned coins but easier with real money.  Like a million coins for a elite outfit.  Yeah it can be earned for free with lots of hours but here's a shortcut for $20 for that outfit.  ahahahaahha

Boins will just continue to show how out of touch ea/dice have gotten with making a quality game. Nothing surprising or to be mad at here honestly.

I honestly feel kind of sorry for the people who work at dice that ea is gonna put out on the street, while ea simply says “not our fault we’re great” lol

It'd be fair if EA asked real money for something decent. But random weapon skin for $10 is just stupid. I have no idea who will waste their money on such stuff.

500 Boins costs 4.95€, 6000 Boins is only 49,95€. Cheap as soap!

Sooooo. Some people cried about DLCs and Premium where you got four maps for 15 Euros but a single Skin for like 5 - 8 Euros is okay.....
I was just kidding. I won't spend one € for those. But I would've bought the Premium.

I didnt meant you in personal. Just some people in general. Like i said before, i already de-installed the Game and just enjoy the Forum. Besides other Games.
But what EA/Dice arent realizing is why Games like Fortnite make such much money through cosmetics.
First their playerbase is far younger and by that also far more willing to spend money to look " unique " in the Game. And second: their base game works.
Tell me Dice/Ea why i should spend real money for, lets say, a Tank skin for the Tiger when that Tank will bounce like a rubber Duck when hitting a small pebble?
Or joinging where half of my side left ages before but there is no balance at all ?
If i get a Tank at all because with your Vehicle Spawn system and the lack of Vehicles on the majority of most maps its a Lottery Game. Besides being destroyed by a single Assault Super Soldier in no time.
As they say: " You can but Lipstick on a Pig - its still a pig...."

I hope that all the cosmetics will be available if one uses enough company coins. If some of the cosmetics can only be gotten with Boins it will be a bit unfair.
Well, DICE has already made it very clear that ELITE skins/kits, for sure, are only obtainable by Boins. They are less clear about the Epic (pink), Rare (blue), and Uncommon (green) cosmetics. From what I've read, it seems that new Epic (pink) cosmetics, to be introduced tomorrow, will also only be available through Boins.
So this chart is a partial lie then?

No, but they were imprecise, inconcrete and deliberatley vague. From the chart it says that you can buy cosmetics with both the in-game currency and the Boins, if that would mean all cosmetics was left to imagination and vague. Also, since it took them five months to implement the shop 50%, I suppose the shop went through a lot of changes itself.
For example, with the shop delay, the poor player retention and the CC issue at release, we have players like me who buy a lot with CC for **** and giggles and still have 170k on the bank, there are players who play a round every day or come back after a long hiatus or new players, that might even struggle to get their weapons upgraded, and there are players that play a lot and hoard, which could bring them up to 400k easily.
This creates an enormously failed economy from the start, so they have to limit the usefulness of company coins at first, while giving out a ton more at the same time for new players (assignments, combined arms, dailies etc.).
If the stuff we can get with CC in the armory keep being as mostly boring as now I can only see myself using them for "chrome finish" sets and sitting on top of the pile the rest of the time

I'll get some BOINS when the Sgt Shultz skin shows up in the Armory.  EA Take My Money.  Until then, it's doubtful.

This shows where EA’s hearts are. In the midst of piles of annoying bugs in a game that need fixing, they make sure their priority is to unlock cosmetic microtransactions.

Funny, I'd assumed no one over the age of 15 would've been dumb enough to purchase deluxe. Hehe, just joking. ;) I kinda want the bandage eye headgear but I just can't bring myself to partake in microtransactions in any game. Fair play though to anyone that does. I'd just rather buy £7.99 worth of snacks to munch whilst I play. I might end up eating those words though...that bandaged eye does look cool plus … it gives hair!
