Grind is a 64-player experience that focuses around the idea of channeling the intense infantry fights on the maps of Battlefield V. Grind up your weapon or Class Progression in this narrow and linear Conquest layout.

How to Play Grind
Two opposing teams of 32 compete to capture and hold three flags in this tight variant of Conquest mode, until they exhaust the enemy team's Respawn Tickets. Your team must fight objective to objective, working to gain control of three key locations across each of the four maps.

Grind is set up on versions of the Narvik, Rotterdam, Devastation, and Twisted Steel maps. Each map is different, but all feature two teams total, three flags to fight over, spawns on team flags, and with a focus on tight, intense infantry combat. Let’s dig in to each map.

Narvik

Grind's version of Narvik focuses on the railway, with the two uncaps at each end. Capture objectives at each end of the train tracks, with B in the middle.

Rotterdam

Rotterdam, reimagined for Grind, also has a focus on the railway – with combat above, below, and to the sides of it. The derailed, defunct train cars will be hotspots for intense engagement with the enemy.

Devastation

Starting on opposite sides of the church, each team will have an opportunity to capture an objective on their side before heading into the close-quarter combat within the church in Grind's version of Devastation. Fortifications and Resupply Points will be key.

Twisted Steel

Railways are great settings for Grind, as they keep the gameplay linear, focusing the combat in the middle. Twisted Steel's
redesign for Grind is very tight, and you'll have plenty of close-quarter combat between the cover points on the rail-bridge.

We're excited about the potential of this Conquest mode variant with an infantry focus. More importantly, we're excited for you to share you feedback once you jump into Grind on April 18th – April 24th.

I try to avoid Narvik at all costs.  I only play Fjell and Devastation and sometimes Twisted Steel.  Also only 400 tickets each?

You guys need to start thinking outside the box.
Why not a game type where you have to steal an enemy vehicle? Or get a tank across the map without having it explode?
    Something different!

Have the maps been re designed with more cover?
Given the linear nature, openness of the maps and ease of use laser beams in V this mode could quite easily become another camp fest.

Be interesting to see how it plays, cheers.

Yeah I just noticed the bridge isn't damaged.  Interesting.  I may give it a try.

So its Domination over 3 maps then. Stop giving us rehashed modes and give us more maps FFS.
Not at all. It's more Frontlines meets Conquest. With the narrow scope of the map, unless you are highly sneaky, it's going to be a challenge to take over the objectives near the enemies spawn unless your team works it's way over taking the other two objectives first. It kinda becomes a tug of war yet all points are up for grabs.

I think they making it narrow choke point to lure in BF4 guys that liked Metro and Locker 24/7.
    Could be the case actually.

should this not have been 12v12? and   more focused on Team play? 400 tickets is too low.  the areas you chose are terrible? why would you not use the buidings on narvik? the bridge on twisted steel and the bridge on narvik are the same thing? whaat a joke? who is creating these awful areas and ideas? ? hamada should have this game mode focused on the NORTHERN part of the map. the ruins would be ideal for this mode.  again who makes yourr decisons?>

    Looks interesting.

    Question for the map people.

Have you guys/gals considered reintroducing 'cap-outs' into this mode (or any other mode for that matter) by removing the non capable "home base" areas or replacing them with capable flags?  I miss maps that offer players the ability to cap out opponents that were a staple of earlier Battlefields. You know - classics like Karkaand, Tobruk, Omaha etc where the attackers or defenders (or both) could be gazumped by losing all their flags?

Rotterdam and Devastation are looking great, kinda sceptical about the other ones. Appreciate your courage to try new things. You know this kind of map layout would propably work really well together with Back to Basics.
