What... are you afraid of being seen? I approve of this update. It's a step in the right direction against cancerous campers who hide in obscure corners.

Luckily, I don’t camp. Let’s noobify the game because people don’t know how to handle shadows.
Dice might as well increase the ttk and bring back 3d spotting while it’s at it.
It shows how broken BF5 is and they have no idea how to fix a problem that should never have been in the game design in the first place. Hmm, make them glow!? Yeah, that’s it
That is clearly going a step too far. In the before picture the character on the left looks almost invisible/transparent but the other one is perfectly visible. They need to find a happy medium and this doesn't look like it.

Well, if one uses ESP, they can already see everyone, so, the ESP users would be against this.

You raise a good point. A man standing upright against a wall is perfectly visible. THIS MUST BE STOPPED!
Just like 3D spotting its a crutch for people who cant use their own senses to locate the enemies. They need a giant neon sign so they can figure out where to shoot.
That will help toxic players to star to learn how to play a multiplayer game . Im 1000000000% with anything improving the visibilty in this game becouse i like the game but i cant play without frustration becouse of invisible campers.

"Don't know how to handle shadows."
There is literally no defense from someone hiding in a shadow. They are practically invisible. Good on dice for discouraging camping.

Probably the single best update this game will have seen to date and it's not even close. Depending on how well players stand out on every map (looking at you snow maps) this might nearly entirely eliminate the "prone in a dumb spot but nobody can see you so here's your free kill" meta which will remove one extremely boring element the game currently has. Very positive change.
This is what happens everytime the community asks for a change, they always take it way too far in the wrong direction. Let's face it people, this game is a failure and will always be. I will further elaborate by stating that I never had a problem with seeing players while playing infantry, and I play on a 1080p 43 inch tv. The only issue I've ever had with visibility are on maps like Hamada where the mirage effects were just way too much when flying in a plane. The problem I see with players is that they are constantly rushing the objective or rushing you even through fog or a blizzard when you clearly have the upper hand and just took out their teammate with explosives or a shotgun or something along those lines. People want to pretend that this is Halo, and thus DICE has reacted accordingly, when this game was initially a milsim.

Agree.
The guy on the right in both pics looks about the same to me as far as standing out from the environment goes.
Will it be enough to really matter tho?
