Can we specialize the fighter variants more please?

We currently have 2 fighter planes per side.
Sadly they are in both cases the  "good fighter" and the "not as good fighter that nobody uses".
It is particularly a problem in the British side where the VA spitfire makes the VB completely obsolete.
It is currently a no brainer to use the VA for anything that you would pick a fighter plane for.
.
How about making these two planes more specialized so that one will have to lose something in order to gain something?
The VA which also has the radar etc should be the fighter for taking out fighters with its 8x LMG being best for small and nimble targets. Meanwhile the  damage of the LMGs on heavy/armored planes should reduced in order to give the VB a chance in the sun and make it a more grim prospect to take on a bomber with LMGs.
The VB which has the HMGs should get some bonus vs heavy planes so that it will be the go to choice for shredding any plane that is not a pure fighter.
.
The same should be done for the B 109s so that we can once again see a G-6 variant instead of only the G-2

There should really just be one fighter choice - Spitfire or ME109, then depending on specialisations you get the better fighter - ie Spit VA, or more all rounder (VB).

I disagree slightly, VB is the best ground attack plane in my opinion. Those dumb rockets are amazing. I agree with you specing more G2 though, needs 2 more rockets in my opinion. I cant understand why german side is a dumbed down version of allied ones. Same goes with tanks.

You can spec the mosquito mkVI with the rockets for a better anti ground + bombs+4x lmgs
Personally I have stopped using the cannon and the 4000lb bomb in favor of the rockets+ bombs options

I've started to use the VB a lot as I really like the rockets. I haven't got many kills with it as I use it for smashing tanks and mobile AA on larger maps. If the enemy pilots are semi-decent and run with two fighters, I'll switch to the VA with it's radar and smoke. Nitrous is useful on the VB but only if they both attack you from the rear. If they split and attack from the front and rear you're doomed.  I also find the VB feels sluggish, even with improved control surfaces.

After using the G6 a lot more, it's probably my favourite fighter. It will out manoeuvre anything. If you drop low and pull kind of switch barrel rolls. Turn begin to roll and then quickly switch the roll the opposite way, you an cause enemies to crash a hell of  a lot. It also seems to pull up / loop better forcing enemies into the ground. Spotting flares and Meningeschoss can be OP if you find a server with no lag and stuttering.

For attacking infantry, I love the G6 as the Flares and Meningeschoss are awesome. . It'll also out manoeuvre any enemy plane that comes at you and I can usually keep the thing in the air for most of the game.
    .
I love the rockets on the VB and I'll use it most of the time on Panzerstorm to smash tanks and mobile AA. Sadly it doesn't handle to well, even with improved control surfaces. If I'm up against competent pilots it's back to the VA with smoke and radar.

I find that the Meningeschoss is too weak now considering how it is hard to see anyone. If you drop your own flares then by the time you turn back for the kill the targets are not spotted anymore.
Meanwhile the G-2 gets 2 autocannons instead of one like the G-6

I do like the G2. However, the last few weeks the rockets seem to be a bit off for me. I can't seem to hit stalling Spitfires any more and it's the same with bombers that are flying in a straight line. I agree on the Meningeschoss being weak. They're also harder to use when a server is laggy or stuttering ( which is frequent). I often have to keep firing almost until I hit the ground. A lot of the time I see 99 damage or 127 damage. Flares are fine for me though. I drop them and have enough time to turn around and make one pass with my Meningeschoss.

@GeorgyRommel I would love to see a video of how you like to combine flares and meningechoss

I fail to see how mosquito is better than VB against ground. You have to consider VB  has a better dogfight ratio, can avoid successfully AA, and still use dumb rockets against ground troops/AA. Having a decent rear gunner is a sci fi novel in randoms world, and if you are switching seats, even against a subpar fighter pilot you are doomed. Anyhow comparing rear seat in bf1 ap with this one in bfv is a sad joke.
    Perhaps you are lucky.

It is probably due to me hating BF dogfights enough to avoid them when possible. So a plane that has like 2 more rockets and a bomb impresses me more.
As about the rear gunners, I am finding that the extra rear guns that are on the bottom of bombers are stronger than the regular ones, they fire faster and they can still be upgraded to HMGs while retaining that RoF. They also seem to be able to kill the pilot of his cockpit for some reason.
I have been trying to get better at using the bottom rear guns and I have been downing an increasing number of fighters, especially if they get close enough to make aiming them really easy.

I am forced to dogfight every day.It is really easy to kill bombers with rear seaters. 2 pass trick. Go below them, but at the range, hit them as they start to stall,(as much as you can), if they successfully hit you, disengage, pop nitro engine, turn around, rinse and repeat. Second time they will blow away.

I know, I have done that in the past but it rarely comes to the need to do that  much. The meta fighters are way too good vs bombers without losing dog-fighting potential.
