"Interesting choices in the spec tree" it's the same spec tree as most other weapons.

I need some new weapons.  Its either I like them and there closing in on 9 or are 10 max rank or I hate them and barely use them.  Hovering at 0 or 2 rank.  But I like to get each up to 4 or 5 so they got max specs to give each of them a chance yet.

it has a full-auto spec. That is new. However what it entails is unknown. Might be that it turns the weapon in the SF variant with a rate of fire of 1100rpm.

Well if its like Ubisoft and other game studios (likely with the constant need to insert stupid socially woke nonsense at the expense of gameplay) they have long since deteriorated into a welfare subsidiary where half of their staff aren't even technically qualified or competent enough to do their jobs but they matched the 'ideal' diverse candiate mandate. That and the engine being totally broken at this point surely does them no favors productivity wise.

Or maybe, like many large companies like this, they have a technically competent and diverse workforce, with a ton of bureaucratic red tape and funding obstacles that block cool new projects, ideas, and progress.

The lack of transparency in these companies makes it hard to pinpoint the precise reason for why a video game fails.

It could be that the workforce is chosen to fulfill some sort of 'quota' rather than pure merit.
It could be that the management is inept, or that red tapism is rampant in the entire company.
It could be that EA alone is to blame for DICE's mistakes.
It could be that there is a hostile workplace in DICE.
It could be that too many veteran developers have left, and new developers are not getting the training that they require.
It could be that the employees are competent, but they have no way to coordinate efforts between departments.

It could be just about anything ... we can only speculate using the few scraps of info we have. Some Glassdoor reviews as of late are very telling, and some of the views of former DICE employees paint a less-than-flattering image of this company, but we don't know exactly what's wrong.

However, it is obvious that something is definitely wrong at DICE ... BFV's state and lifecycle are proof of this alone. I'd love it if a former, or even a current, DICE employee spilled the beans about how this company got so many things so badly wrong in such a short space of time.

That explanation doesn't fit his narrative. That's a problem.

Man, unless they release like a free weapon crate or something alongside gamescom or in the time "bridging Chapter 4 and 5", I don't see myself spending much time on that game for the next months.

Yesterday was first day I took a break from BF5.  I ended up only playing GTA5.  Was grinding away the black jack tables winning over $2 million.  I moved my night club closer to it.  Since I own the penthouse at the casino as well.

Good on you. I spend 400h on this game, which is more than BF1 but much less than on BF3/4. This game was released and/or planned full of hybris and overconfidence and they are still making up for that, it is really depressing.
