What do you expect this november? A whimpering death or a genuine revival?
Is the pacific hype really enough?

Bfv should have been what bf always been about large scale war. They tried turning it into something that doesn't work. All these small modes trying to cater to new players. The game had loads of bf regulars to keep it going, but no they got greedy, and tried to change things up.People cried about premium, now look what we have.As for the Pacific maybe but we need to see whats coming after that,if they don't start adding well known battles ie battle of the bulge, monte casino, berlin, kursk, even normandy, yes its been done so add sword or juno instead.Imagine grand operations on normandy, and how about carantan. This game could have been something special,oh and they need to fix bugs first.

The game is already dead, new content won't fix the bugs, performance issues and boring campy unbalanced gun/gameplay.

Only some serious changes in those elements could bring players back and keep as much remaining players as possible.

I don't see why chapter 5 will change anything. So far, the devs have shown that they are unable to design quality maps or fix all the bugs and performance issues. It will just be more of the same. It wouldn't surprise me if rental severs running 24/7 underground are their best chance of success (metro/locker effect). How sad would that be?
I cant see how we suddenly should get well designed large maps with good balance between infantry and vehicle play. Those days are long gone.
The devs seem only to having experience designing small infantry maps and gameplay and dont have a clue about combined warfare on large maps.
Or they want to transform BF into a totally different game.

People are expecting too much from the Pacific expansion. I think there will be a lot of anger when it drops and does not meet expectations.
    Underground looks good though.

I don't see Chapter 5 suddenly reinvigorating the game in terms of content. I expect we'll get no more than the three Pacific maps "promised" and it won't surprise me if one or more of them are late, then maybe two Soviet maps in early spring 2020, and then done. Finito.

I'd love to be wrong about this, but I think the Pacific hype DICE and EA are trying to build is just a way to squeeze one more round of Christmas profit from the game before turning off the support funding.

I like bf5 and play every day since beta but I know I am in the serious minority.
it's just a real shame that bf5 isn't the gritty realistic looking ww2 game that people wanted.
I don't know anyone who said I want what we have.
The unknown battles thing just seemed like an excuse to make smaller maps and not have to make decent bf1 style grand ops because they knew they didn't have the time or recourses to make a proper ww2 game.
I am looking forward to the Pacific and to Russia but I think it should come as a big content drop to bring people in not at the current drip feed.
I want the next bf to be Vietnam but I don't want dice to make it with all the stupid political correctness why not let rockstar lose on bf.

My problems with BFV are about the fundamental mechanics and design. A little bit of new content won't turn that around for me. I think a lot of players actually feel this way without knowing it or acknowledging it. They blame lack of content for the game not being fun, but what's a few new maps going to change about that?

This. Lack of map content only exasperates the situation.

I’m hoping for a genuine revival of the game.

But for now, my patience has run out, and I deleted the game yesterday😟.

If the Pacific theater is a huge content drop (min. of 3 maps, loads of weapons and vehicles) AND players seem happy about the quality of said content, I might re-install and give BFV a try again.

Made a new BF1 account and had some fun there.

If they add naval combat with that chapter it would be cool and fresh but thats looks impossible with current DICE team.

It would have to be real naval combat, like Battlefield 1942. Not that sorry excuse for naval combat we got in Battlefield 4.

But I don’t see us ever getting that in a Battlefield game again. :(

    It's already dead I'm afraid !!
NOTHING CAN SAVE THIS CRAPY GAME
    Pronefield v

Call of duty modern warfare is coming
And this is the first time I'm excited for a new call of duty and it's because of this bug infested game . EA dice are to blame.

Judging by many people's responses to the new COD after playing,  BFV has little to worry about.

LOl, I have only seen positive reactions and everybody loving it ... even I enjoy it (an 2vs2 only Alpha) ten times more than BF V (that is not even at Alpha state).

The Pacific will be delayed that is a guarantee. Starting September Battlefield will start to lose players drastically.

Borderlands 3 in September then COD MW in October. It will be a graveyard by November.
