[Suggestion] Being able to aim down your iron sights/scope with heavy weapons for short moment?

What if we could for short moment aim down our sights/scopes in MMGS/AT boys/PZB39,so we would see less players proning and more players playing in objectives?Could be added a penalty that is given to bayonet charge when running for to long,so you'd get tired fast if you're attempting to scope/aim down your iron sights with heavy weapons for too long.Requiring skill to time for how long you can be using your scope in heavy weapons. What do you guys think about it?Probably if it existed, several tweaks would have to come by.

Mmgs should be removed or adjusted into LMGs. Theres enough hiding and proning in this game. Most toxic game ive ever played. But dice seem to love adding these noobtubes without testing them...the same could be said for their patches

And while were at it either add scope glint to 3X assault weapons, or remove 3X scopes from the class

The ads option for mmgs is fine the way it is. There is just enough zoom to determine where your bullets will go.

Seems like a good idea but what about heavy sniper rifles.

Yeah, they're good but games could always have additional mechanics through.

As far as MMGs go, they should get rid of the random chance cone in aimed fire when not deployed. Have shots hit at the centre of the giant crosshair but give them massive recoil. That way they can still be used and controlled reliably on the move by skilled players. As they are right now, no matter how well you aim with them, there is still too high a degree of luck to be used reliably on the move.

You can littery hip fire AT rifle, even thought the cross hair during hip fire look large, it dead center, also were getting another mmg gun that doesnt require proning and can use iron sight.

Cleaned up the thread a bit.

As for weapons like the Boys being able to be aimed properly while standing, I don't mind so much, but then I do think the recoil should make the soldier move back and being unable to move for a quick moment after shooting to balance it out. Will have to be tested ofc.

You mean the russian one? Not really an MMG, even though it's belt fed. Acts more like an LMG.

MMGs along with other weapons need more recoil, but why should players always be able to counter it.  Guns like the MG42 should, unless bipoded or resting against something like a wall,  recoil all over the place.  This would be a characteristic and balancing feature of the weapon. The recoil shouldnt be able to be countered by moving a mouse or control sick diagonally down (or whatever).

Mmgs were nerfed with the last patch. Recoil was increased, including when the bipod is engaged.

True, but trying to hipfire one, unless you are Rambo, should surely result in the weapon kicking all over the place with nothing you can do about it.  I dont have an issue with the way MMGs work at the moment in regards to no ADS as this reduces the run and gun temptation.

Proning is not the problem, the insane poor visibility, poor lighting, poor directional sound, TAA, limited spotting and bushes/rubble eveywhere are the problem.

When those things would be fixed, proning will go down at least 90% ...

@NLBartmaN They just need to bring back 3D spot and being prone will no longer be a winning meta

I heard another idea, of if you are stationary for too long, you become spotted. Would that work?

I would support this. It wouldn’t affect me too much, since I am not a prone type player.

That said, it should be based on how long the bipod is engaged. This way it captures people that just camp on a window, fence or piece of metal.

If that happens, MG42 should be nerfed, it literally fires a laser ray that kills you before you know you're being shot. MG34 too, maybe just a little
