    well guys this patch does not seem to be well received.  Please give us some new maps and go back to BF4 style game designed for higher level players.  The game developers seem very confused right now.  Did you take the info from the previous survey and even look at it?  Give us some new firestorm content and boost the player base and get rid of conquest catch up mechanic which has me the game a joke.  Artificially close games are not fooling anyone, conquest used to be my favorite mode but the game is not a real competition with a game that is tampered with.

    Try the type 100. I have seen people topping their team's kill charts with it
    I like that you try and be positive, but how is it positive we went from many awesome smg's to just one?

    Also, I am new to this game and I dont know the maps well enough to know best flanking paths etc. Before 5.2 I would get 5-10 kills to about 20 deaths. Now I still get 20 deaths but struggle to get a single kill with any smg.

    Many awesome SMGs? Was I was seeing was Suommi, tommy and type 100 and few ZKs
    The first 3 are still used extensively even now

    i like where this is going but it needs major tweaking for sure. i tested mainly smgs, ars and snipers. most obvious problem is that you went way overboard with the smg dmg fall off. i understand the reasoning and i want changes like that but it's way too extreme. smgs feel like a shotgun now. might aswell not engage past a certain threshold. overall it makes sense but not how it is. with environments that varied you can't have guns be that one sided. these maps have way too many open areas and side lines to have such drastic weapon balance.

    stg44 felt great for example. i could definately feel that it was weaker but it felt very rewarding and made a lot of sense. you have to work for those longer range kills but it's not ridiculous. snipers obviously felt like before.

    i think this is a classic case of doing too much just to feel the difference. which is totally fine and great as long as it will get tweaked. overall the gunplay feels way more rewarding and less random because now it takes more skill to track the target enough to connect enough bullets. BUT it needs to be at the sweet spot to feel good and not bullet spongey. this now reminds me way more of bf4 and makes me want to play more again. BUT smgs need to be fixed asap. don't slack on this. do lots of tweaks fast to find the sweet spot. people will whine and be hyperbole and stuff either way but don't make it justified.

    i love how there was no weird insta kills and most deaths made sense to me and it's more geared towards action packed gameplay with lots of movement and stuff. i love the overall effort. keep it up but keep working on it!

    As expected, a terrible patch. 
    First of all - The most UNSUCCESSFUL  innovation - SPOTTING! As I said, this will destroy the unique gaming experience in BF5. Now you constantly look at the minimap, and simply shoot enemies like ducks in a shooting range. No interest and challenge, just lie around the corner and wait for the enemy to be spotted.
    The worst thing is that now I MUST look at the minimap, and watch for:
    1. Have I been spotted.
    2. which of the enemies spotted
    Instead of analyzing the terrain and the situation, now I just MUST look at the minimap. I realized that I was missing half of the game because I was not looking at the battlefield, but at this damned minimap.
    With such a system there is no excitement, interest, the game with this spotting has lost all its uniqueness and attraction to me.
    1) There is even nothing more to say about the TTK - it is disgusting.
    2) AA guns - still like a joke. I can’t destroy a plane, even if it flies right on me. I have time to do only around 20-40% of damage before he kills me. 
    3) 40% damage on infantry from AA guns - Are you serious?  And this despite the fact that when u use AA you are killed with one sniper shot.  Strange logic.
    4) How many heats do i need to do whith AA cannons to kill a tank? Because any tank destroy AA cannons with only one heat. Strange too.
    You guys made the life of noobs even harder. You have already been written about this above, and I confirm that because of the spot system, it’s much harder for noobs to get undetected by professional players. And with such a TTK system, it is almost impossible for them to defeat a player in a direct hassle.

    If dice wanted to mix up the ranges for each class they should have shuffled the weapons and distributed them evenly. Give each clas a cqb smg, mid range SAR and a long rang lmg, but no, they try and say some smgs are long range -50m? and some mmgs, are close range which is dumb

    On console Sten gun and MP 40 were quite common too. MP 28, MP 34 and MAB were somewhat common also, but not many players bothered to find out their potential. Even though Tommy gun and Suomi KP were the most most used SMGs on console also, recoil control on controller and range diffrence ensured that we had more diverse gunplay. I liked to play with all of them. Not anymore.

    What's the effective range of the Thomson now 30 m? That's less than a football field I'm pretty sure in real life the Effective range of the Thomson was close to 130 m.

    I am not sure if I can suggest sth here - is there any way you could remove or heavily reduce animation for plane passenger or pilot leaving the plane? It is horror, lasts like what, 3-4 seconds? Try jumping over a flag, you need to do it hunbdreds of meters away, otherwise you land outside of map. BF1 system was so much more natural.

    I do not hate the update. It is not as unpleasant as I expected but it has certainly made the game play a lot simpler. Can't yet say if it has any staying power.

    goes for pretty much all vehicle boarding and disembarking animations, if you ask me. being locked into an animation is the opposite of immersion. if you want immersion, create actual tank interiors and have those animations be super fast and fluid. i still don't understand how this game feels so much clunkier than the older ones. the revive stuff is hardly bearable too. quick and snappy artistic anims. not this drawn out ****. that's what is needed.

    i really like the philosophy behind the ttk change. and one can really feel the potential when playing guns like the stg44 (tested smgs, ars, snipers so far). with that gun things feel more rewarding. it's weaker but to a tasteful degree a skilled player with good tracking can appreciate.

    however, it feels like the devs went overboard to have their changes be more noticable instead of fine tuning it properly. i hope this is a first draft and won't be rolled back entirely because of complaining.
    i already had such great moments outplaying people with aim tracking and movement like the old bf4 days. turning on campers works so many more times. i haven't experienced any insta deaths that made no sense. this has such great potential to bring back the action filled gameplay instead of stationary kill farming.

    as for the spotting i can't really tell because i never look at minimaps (not even in CODS). i know it's a big disadvantage not doing so but i prefer going by what i see in the 3d world. i noticed people close by that i looked at getting an icon above their head, which i liked along with the health bar (not sure, if that is new, haven't played in a bit before the patch).

    as for weapon balance. from what i have tested SMGs are simply broken. with large scale maps like this you can't have this extreme weapon balance. SMGs feel like shotguns that do no damage past a certain way too short distance. what should be done is have all weapons be closer to eachother and have them specialise in certain ranges through hipfire accuracy and headshot multiplier strength instead of making them useless past 20m. i would even go as far as to say not a single gun should require 13 bullets to kill from any range. 300m for an SMG maybe. but even 8 would be enough to make  it a challenge. just have SMGs have their headshot multiplier fall off drastically or something, if anything.

    we need a bunch of quick tweak updates to iron out these kind of crazy things and it should be golden. i like what you're trying to do and it's working but it's far from perfect.

    I almost ready to uninstall the game of my computer.
    I bought a new PC to game at my favorite game and you do that, I'm very disappointed

    Here are my thoughts after having time to watch plenty of twitch streams and play myself.  I'm an extensive BF player with thousands upon thousands of hours throughout the franchise.  I would hope my opinion matters.

    Overall TLDR thoughts: Decent patch and I can get on board with where you want to take the TTK but there are some legit problems with trying to put guns into boxes and I think from an overall perspective you guys went a bit too far on nerfing damage.  Everything, and some guns more than others, need at least SOME of their damage back.  Overall, good job, but please tweak some things because if your goal is to encourage weapon diversity, you won't reach that goal with the patch as is.  You will see weapon diversity for the first month or so, but that's only because people are trying out new guns.  Statistics are funny in that you can manipulate them to see what you want to see or write whatever narrative you are aiming for.  See below for more specific comments on my thoughts on the guns.  Please also understand, and I'm sure that you do, that you have indirectly massively buffed the bolt action snipers and jungle carbine.  I think this is OK if you further tweak some of the weapons and add a little damage back.    

    STG44 - It's too strong when compared to everything else to put it quite simply.  It is head and shoulders the best assault auto now and the best gun in the game, without question.  Prepare for the STG44 spam to ensue once people realize this.  Effective range should be 10-20 IMO or maybe 10-25.

    SAR's - No comment, don't use these weapons hardly ever.

    SMG's - New flavor of the months will now just be MAB, ZK383, and Suomi.  You basically buried the Thompson, and the rest of the guns will be ignored in favor of the clearly better ones that I just mentioned.  The EMP is noteworthy and effective but most will ignore it because it is a forgotten about gun.  RIP Tommygun, when's the funeral?  You've gotta revisit this IMO but overall good job with the SMG's.

    MMG's - They're essentially nerf guns now, but I guess that's what everyone wanted right?  The MG42 is an actual joke.  I about fell out of my chair when I was watching someone stream using it.  It took him 5 minutes to get a kill.  Might consider moving drop off a bit further for the VGO and MG42 if you ever want people to use them again.  

    LMG's - Overall they feel weaker compared to other classes now even more so than before.  LMG's already had a weird place in the game because they were kind of a "jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none" class of weapons.  Now, with weapons being put into boxes and becoming more specialized, they feel even weaker.  They could all use at least a slight buff IMO, some more than others.....More on LMG's at the end of my post, specifically the FG42/LS26......

    Vehicle and spotting changes - I can live with them, but the spotting changes really feel like noobification of the game.  Are we really that concerned with catering to the Christmas noobs and Steam crowd?  If it grows the game and community then I'm all for it I suppose....but.... awareness should be rewarded IMO and the new spotting mechanic kind of takes that away.  Just something to consider.  Not sure if it's possible to "dial it back" a bit.  I feel like I'm spending way too much time looking at the minimap instead of analyzing the terrain in front of me and my peripheral surroundings.

    Vehicle and explosive changes are fine.  Minimap updates and the "You are spotted" function are superb!  Good job guys.

    Last and most importantly....I wanted to mention this last because it's just insane and it's the biggest issue I have with this patch.  You guys completely destroyed the FG42 and LS26, especially the already seldom-used LS26.  Certainly this was not intended?  The guns are literally unuseable beyond 25m and they get destroyed by most other guns in close quarters.....so there's no point in using them.  I'm not sure how you can give an LMG with a 20 round clip the SMG treatment.  They have no place in the game now.  It just seems asinine to me and very, very shortsighted.  Personally, I would move them into the "Balanced" LMG category with 10-30m effective range and increase their recoil a small bit.  The gun is already greatly limited by it's 20 round clip so it's very reasonable for it to have a 10-30m effective range, or at least 10-25m.  The LS26 is one of my most used guns and it was already challenging to begin with because it probably has some of the least favorable specs of all the LMG's.  Now, it is literally unuseable.    Please, I am begging you to revisit this.  I truly honestly don't even get motivated to play now because my LS26 is useless and don't play nearly as much as I used to.

    Bring back the old ttk.The new patch is terrible.No hardcore in the game and now a new ttk.
