There is something coming in June. I don't know that they are calling it a chapter though. It appears to include one map, assuming it doesn't get scrap due to technical problems. I suspect they'll also do an asset dump of anything else that was already finished. So a random assortment of guns from otherwise canceled chapters. I wouldn't expect any of it to be balanced or polished.
The update that we'll release this summer will be the final occasion in which we'll add new content to the game. We may go on to release a smaller patch after this to fix any remaining issues, but other than Community Games, after this point our updates will be focused on ensuring that the service stays healthy and addresses critical issues only.
What happened to seeing this game through to 2021,we will turn this game into the bf the community deserve.we have lots to share with you, just lies lies lies.so answer this why have you stopped now, give the community a solid truthful answer thankyou.
You have done so much damage to the Battlefield franchise. This decision has hurt Battlefield 6 before that game is even announced. Players have lost faith in Dice and feel let down. Why buy the next game from a company that has given up and let their customers down? i know that I will not pre order BF 6 because of this decision, and will wait and see. Bad decision again by Dice.
@EA_TOM; HEALTHY SERVICE??? really do you guys call this train wreck a healthy service? Are you guys high on something? I have paid for a game with live service. I got a travesty of a game which most of its life cycle wasn't even worth calling a AAA game. And now you have the guts to pull the plug? What about your customers? What about our money? How healthy is your live service TOM? Please explain. Lets start with some apologies to your community. The same community that kept supporting your franchise despite everything happening. And after apologizing please tell us why we should buy any of your games in the future?

I thought I read on twitter the May update is delayed and merged with June update.

In other words "We give up".
Well guess what? I've given up on Battlefield and any future Battlefield titles. You people have fallen from grace....HARD...

Are the (1) permanent team-unbalance, the (2) non-existant anticheat measures, the (3) game joining issue (after trying to join a game into a squad full, you have to restart the whole game to try to join again) and the still-not-fixed (4) permanent death bug considered critical issues?

Ahah tom please, no one in this forum trust you. Tell us the truth about the stopped live service.

Nah, these are considered "healthy service" and will remain as-is.
