Visibility idea

Just tried this old game rainbowsix vegas 1 and tested visibility.

Figure out that if you use zoom like 1x in BF5 and make it 1.5x it works best for visibility.

Also as long as recoil is low!

Something like this:

<a href="https://ibb.co/G2QnfYK"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/G2QnfYK/rainbowsix-vegas-1-5-zoom.jpg" alt="rainbowsix-vegas-1-5-zoom" border="0"></a>

Idea for future games...

Not quite sure what you are trying to say. But you could change your screen resolution and FOV.

I think the 1x zoom, the "round yellow scope" (in BF5) should zoom to 1.5x for best visibility.

    FOV?

    Field of view..

If you reduce it,  it makes the displayed area onscreen bigger and closer to the image you linked,   But you lose the ability to acquire targets to the extreme left and right of the crosshairs.

TBH I was always a little confused by how irons in this game are 1.5x and the red dots sights were 1x.

Could it be because of the bolt action rifles?!

I mean, the magnification probably can't be adjusted between classes, so they made it 1,5x to accomodate the BARs - because, you know, "the technology isn't there."

Hehe same, thats why I never use the red dots sights, I use to do it in many games but due to the fact of it only beeing 1x I use 3x on assaults/support and 1.5x sight with that wierd crosshair or just iron sight depending on weapon on medic.

Hadn't actually considered that but it does make sense. If that is the case then it's a pity the tech was lost between BF1 and BFV.

Your set ups are pretty much what I use too. Quite partial to that weird 2x scope for a couple of the assault rifles for some reason though.

They probably lost it at the same time as they misplaced the server rental program from BF1.

I think it was meant to encourage players to use traditional irons rather than slapping aircraft sights onto all their guns.

Could be that as well man. Don't know about you but I still find them tricky to use on a lot of guns.

depends how the irons look like. Flat like M1907, Ribeyrolls etc are good while some sux.

I'd vote for pick a zoom tipe and then adjust zoom like mouse sensitivity.

I've set it to 70 (from 55) and feels like a different game now...
