I know with the game release in full swing you must be busy, but feel like I have more chance of getting blood out of a stone than useful server info at the moment.

Although I respect your work for the community, I think you are in the unpleasant place to have to stall. Of course nobody expects answers to 150 questions. But we would like to know what the RSP will offer when it comes out (and when that is btw).

It is obvious that they are still building the RSP, if it was ready they would 'serve' it at launch. Some simple answers about server locations, initial admin options would be enough now with more to come.

Still no word.... this is a joke. The game is fully released, RSP is supposed to be available in less than a week, and we know literally nothing.
Where did we say it was going to launch November 1st? Not to be THAT guy, but that's an incorrect assumption.

Now, I'm working on finalizing more details - but to be clear - I don't have ALL the answers to all your questions.... yet.
To be fair, pinning down answers to over 150 questions is taking some time, and while I definitely understand that further delays in information release aren't helping your frustration, we did just launch the game, so my time has been stretched pretty thin.

I appreciate you all for your patience in this matter and definitely am working to get something posted this week to give a bit more insight into features and tools that will be available for RSP. Keep in mind, though, that per our original post, more features will be rolling out as we move forward. Providing helpful feedback on what IS and ISN'T available once we launch RSP this November will be critical in getting you what you need.

    Thanks.

Thanks Braddock, at least if it is taking time getting the answers then they all can't be "no" xD

It's simple guys. They didn't give us the full game (missing hardcore and classic, though, without hosted servers, I guess it doesn't matter), or the options to make the game our own at launch (No hosted servers). Now, they're trying to nail down what we're getting next. After that, they'll give us a little more.

So, at this point, if you have new questions, ask them, add them to the bottom of the list of 150 that haven't been answered yet.

But the frickin' entitled, whiny, pissing and moaning, can we just get over that and behave like we have half a brain and some common sense?
    Oh, wait. Gamers.

when I used to play in controlled server I could play for hours straight in the same server
normally I would have to wait in queue to enter that server.....
Now I play in official servers, which by the 3rd round gets almost empty due to:
    racist comments,
whole squads camping on the border of the maps as snipaz
auto balance (not ) doing its job
    and so on
and this is constructive critic, no matter U think

official servers are the playground for cheaters and abusive players.....
the cry babies who cried wolf for bad admins got what they want

I'm not disagreeing with your observations at all. I have logged in very little since my initial in-game hours for these reasons and more.
And I do completely feel that they released only a partial game without rented servers and hardcore and classic modes (which they could easily have put into 'official' servers as well). I've just reached the point that it seems we're no longer using this thread constructively and instead people are calling out @Braddock512 for things that are obviously (at least to the reasonable among us) beyond his control. Even if he was on the dev team and not stuck here dealing with us, he likely couldn't make the changes himself that are so needed. I'd hope that folks will stop trolling him, let him do what he can to facilitate the communication we want and need, and other than that, be patient.

Like I said, if there's something to add to the thread's question list, cool. But the whine, nag, etc gets us nowhere at all.

    constructive arguments have a limit....
at a certain point its almost impossible to add anything new,
if we had any kind of precise feed back , it would be a starting point, but so far we only have all of these questions and no answers which makes ppl angry.

I am lucky to have 50ms of ping to play or less, but ppl that are being (once more) neglected are probably waiting for a response so they can buy the game or not.
so far the covered area seems to be the same as consoles which makes ppl from Middle east and Asia to be forced to play with high pings.
In several threads of bf4 it was said that Ea was covering more areas with physical hardware.....so
    Where are they......
to play with high ping might be very unpleasant, but also to play against ppl with high ping is very bad.....

We all have Ea to thank for, selling a game with no servers in the area.
    similar experience ...right

I would not want to be in Braddock512 shoes, but we have to speak our disappointment, and even that might not change anything....
Its all up to Ea and they do as they please, we can whine bitx and scream but in the end its their final word and decision.
and still with all the let downs we keep on feeding them our money (shame on me).

hope they come around and make it right, because BF games have been my favorite FPS from the 1st time I played it.

Player count on PC has been dropping drastically. It seems that lack of proper servers with balanced rules are something PC players don't want live without after they've been heart and soul of PC Battlefield experience for so long.

I've gotten countless emails, PMs, tweets all asking when I was getting a Battlefield 1 server. All of them waiting to buy the game to play on our community servers. And the amount of bigots, racist and aholes on official servers is unreal. And they all know nothing will happen to them so they continue on.

When are we getting a WDF BF1 server....

All accounts seem to be that they are playing on Australian servers with 300ms ping and sponging bullets and driving the server into the ground and giving the game poor hitreg.

Again, it does not say November 1st.
When will the Rental Server Program Launch?
We’re excited to bring RSP to Battlefield 1 this November.

@Braddock512 I realise answering 150 questions would take a fair while to sort out but any chance you could release answers in Waves? E.g if you have any answers to questions currently could you post an update?

    @Braddock512

A lot of the work I do in my professional life is done behind the scenes - gathering information, putting it together, analysing it, identifying issues and presenting recommendations to clients. It's taken me YEARS to unlearn the habit of trying to present an entire picture, in one big bang, to clients - in the hopes that it would impress or satisfy them. As it turns out, most of them don't like hearing nothing from me for a longish period (whilst I'm doing all that work) and then getting presented with a WHACK of information at once and having to absorb it and respond to me (or other stakeholders) in a short amount of time. Most of them prefer to receive portions of info and analysis as I go along, with the understanding that it may change as I find out more.

To be honest, I see a parallel with your situation here (although I am speculating a little) - you have to source a *lot* of information from various internal people whose priority isn't necessarily giving you answers. You then have to verify the info because no one is as angry as a gamer who hasn't been presented the right info, collate it all and then present it to us. And I see from your latest post that you're trying to get the answers to all the questions at once.

Perhaps the better approach in this case is to draw a line in the sand for yourself (and for us) and say that you'll get us what information you can by Friday, with the other information to come as and when you receive the answers yourself. Also with the expectation that things *may* change, because that's the nature of life. This way you're managing our expectations with regards to getting info, giving us something to chew on and absorb and removing some of the pressure from you. Heck, I imagine you have quite a lot of the information already.

So yeah, just a piece of friendly advice from someone who's been in the same (or at least a similar) unenviable position as you. Use it, don't use it :)

    *edit*

    TL;DR

Little bits of information, presented more regularly, tend to go down better than a big chunk of info presented after a long time :)

You do understand completely where I'm at, it appears. Great suggestion (and I'm going to use it.)

Yes, I do have some information, everyone. I'm working on finalizing (to ensure it doesn't change) and will have a small update on Friday. No, it will not be everything you want to know, and for that, I'm sorry. I truly am working to get more answers - on a daily basis.
As I've previously stated, I get your frustration. I do. I understand it, I feel it, it affects me.

Getting snarky, getting abusive - that doesn't further the conversation (it will actually end it for some), so let's try to be a little less of that. No, it's not fair that you don't have all the answers. That doesn't excuse you from following the rules of the community. Don't make me be the "bad guy" because you choose to vent your frustration in a way that violates the forum rules/guidelines.

Okay. So, agreed - Friday I will have some form of update. (Please note - I didn't specify an exact time and I live in the Central Time Zone for the US. ) No need to spam "Where is the update?!" at 4AM my time. Additionally, when it's 12AM Saturday your time, take into account that it's probably still during the workday in my timezone. (Let's think GLOBALLY.)

    -Braddock512-

Do make sure you start that info drop with an "AS OF NOW" and "MAY CHANGE" disclaimer. CYA!

Braddock512 pls have the answer on Friday to the most important server question everyone want to know about - which REGIONS will the servers be available in ? This is the single most important pending piece of info over which a lot of ppl are going to be basing their decision on whether to drop their hard earned money in this game or not (or apply for a refund).

Pls don't give generic regions, some specifics would be nice like which countries will get the servers.

    Thanks
