"If it's called 'semi-auto' the rifle is for assault, if it says 'self-loading' it's for recon.
(If it's called 'DMR' it's for all classes in BF4)"
self-loading and semi-automatic are exactly the same thing. The term used to identify the weapons as semi-automatic came at a later date. Though it does make sense that the selbstlader 1906 be a recon weapon with its 7.92 Mauser round and the AG M/42 be assault with the 6.5 round, it can all fall into translation. The AG M/42B is the same rifle, just adjusted to fire the 7.92 Mauser. Even though the normal version of the gun has a removeable box magazine, the magazine was only removeable for cleaning. It was still cartridge fed 10 rounds thru the top of the gun. So with the way they have taken the assault class, do we really see them having us load individual rounds into a weapon on a partial reload in the assault class? Well just have to see
