Peasants have always outnumbered the aristocracy ;-) Just kidding! On a more serious note: You are completely and utterly wrong about BF5 not being fun. This is clearly a return to form of the series and the best version since BF2.
With all of them. I like the graphics and don’t find it cartoony at all. Perhaps you should play with the settings. I like the limited ammo and health mechanic. It makes the action more tense and specialists more useful. I also find plenty of chaoti…
That was almost a given. It would have been weird not to let him stay until launch. I am happy with the fact that Söderlund will leave after launch. While the reasons were not made explicit, it is quite obvious that his departure is linked to his ha…
True. However, my objections against BFV were never of the deal-breaking sort. The real dealbreaker was Söderlund’s smug and disingenous attitude towards the fans of the franchise. Now that he is gone, I can buy the game. Hopefully, Dice learned a l…
You are confusing two very different situations: a) people who experience lag and, for some strange reason, refuses to realize that the culprit is their connection and b) people like me who are NOT affected by any lag at all and are more than satisf…
You’re patently wrong. For once I never complained to Dice, which is the reason they made the icons compulsory. In fact, my whole point is that I was perfectly happy with my silk smooth lagfree game until the icon popped up. Secondly, I find it fasc…
The latency was fine. The problem was only the variation. I don’t doubt that it was caused by the wifi. My point is only that the variation had no practical effect on gameplay.
I didn’t get the ping icon. I got the latency variation icon. I monitored it very closely and it was triggered by my ping jumping from 46 to 51. It might be a bug.
Again, I have NOT (I repeat: NOT) experienced any lag or other related issues while playing on wifi. As I recently moved from an appartment where I could connect through ethernet I can also make a direct comparison. Gaming on wifi in OW, COD, BF1 an…
I played BF1 with an ethernet connection in our previous home. We moved in January and I started playing on wifi. I felt no difference, nor do I feel any difference now. I really think that the warning system is too easily triggered. Anyhow, I am no…
Very similar to yours. I have a netgear dual band router and a D-Link ac1900 usb adapter. There are however a few obstructions: a wall and some furniture.
Well, at least it’s much better I haven’t seen the other icons (except when the game is loading). The network icons are now so rare that I can ignore them. I am still annoyed with Dice, though. It seems a little bit much to force users to have icons…
Well, they should ask the people who want their assistance and refuse if they don’t turn on the icons during troubleshooting. How difficult can it be? Yes, I’d love to have an ethernet cable but my modem is in my living room and my pc is in my offic…
